Indeed. I was at that game, and the blue pants with green jerseys was a first. It was kind of odd looking at the time. We also had worn blue pants earlier in some of our road games. I distinctly remember we wore blue pants at one of our games at Rice. I think we also wore them when SMU massacred us in Dallas in 1982. I went to get a coke as the game was starting, and it was 14-0 before I got back to my seat--and that was the best part of the game.winwave wrote:We wore the blue pants w/green jersey's against Clemson.

That works for me as well.Wave755 wrote:No kidding, why don't we just send TD a picture of Roch Hontas in the 1979 home uniform and say, "Troy, here is your answer, no need to reinvent the wheel"?

I like it!
I also must tip my hat to those of you that remember what pants we wore 35 years ago for a particular game. Maybe it was the cocktails at Nicks Bar, or those waxy old SuperDome Brews (I think it was like a 48 oz cup that was warm and waxy by the time you fininshed!) but I have a better chance remembering some incredible paper airplanes than I do what pants the team wore!

Well we all know ESPN is clueless. This weeks uniform is bad. That gray is not a good look. At least it doesn't feature glow in the dark shoes for a day game like Louisville.

It's good for recruiting. It actually matters when you're a program used to losing that wants to get better.

Agee.......I think they wore white pants with green and blue stripes down the pants for the Southern game. To me that was the best traditional unis. It carried the blue highlight trim from helmet down to the shoes. Think they should wear that uniform for 4 home games and the blue shirts for the other two home games. Yeah, I know, I am old to..But it's called TRADITION....Need to get it back.ajcalhoun wrote:Classic! Definitely my favorite. I wish we would just stick with these.
