Hope the new Unis are not just green, but OLIVE GREEN.
President Fitts , B of A , it's put up or forever hold your peace time . Make Tulane ATHLETICS relevant and top 30 again .
1970 was indeed a great season. Those little green men took it to the Buffalo''s.

Actually...the Memphis Commercial Appeal, had on of the all time great headlines;winwave wrote:1970 was indeed a great season. Those little green men took it to the Buffalo''s.
"Those Little Green Men, were out of this World"
if I remember correctly that was on the FRONT PAGE...not the sports section
Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !
That's what I was referencing. Good times.golfnut69 wrote:Actually...the Memphis Commercial Appeal, had on of the all time great headlines;winwave wrote:1970 was indeed a great season. Those little green men took it to the Buffalo''s.

Loved me some 70's unis too!
My Dad and I drove down from Shreveport for the TU- NC State game in NOLA in 1970. A 31-0 shellacking of the Wolfpack. What a great team with Coach Pittman at the helm. We drove back that Sunday and heard live on the radio the Saints kick by Dempsey that was heard around the world. What a week-end!

The uniforms look pretty good. I am looking forward to seeing those blue jerseys take the field. Our colors are just fantastic. Its just sucks that we never seem to be creative with our helmets. I want to see someone come up with something that screams "Green Wave" on the helmet.

Looks like Notre Dame is going to break out some Olive jerseys this year for their Shamrock Series game (against Army this year). http://tcu.247sports.com/Bolt/Notre-Dam ... s-46359140
Maybe, someday, Tulane will again wear jerseys in our school's true colors--olive and sky blue.
