Show Me wrote: Tue Apr 02, 2024 3:02 pm The nonsense that we need to hire coaches with no ties to Tulane is ridiculous. You hire the best candidate that you can get plain and simple. Dannen went outside of Rick Jones and hired Jewett and Ulhman so how has that worked out? Give this Tulane alum a chance and your support. Let her run her own program. As far as hiring from the current staff I'll trust her judgement.
Right. I guess we shouldn't have hired Sumrall either, by that logic, since he had Tulane ties previously.

So our new coach did it against higher competition . She also has recruited all over whereas Reed has not. On the face of it this is a good hire. She's a winner and she's young and energetic.
In regards to recruiting all over...

Coach Langford has played/coached in the following locals:
Harrisburg, PA
New Orleans, LA
Lewisburg, PA
Denver, CO
Annapolis, MD
Norfolk, VA
Harrisonburg, VA
Long Island, NY
Which is a lot wider than Louisiana and Mississippi.

Lmfao dude. Take a chill pill. The response on X has been widely laudatory from those with no connection to the program. Jesus.

No. I’m going to stay right here and continue to challenge people like you that can’t help themselves and bitch and moan all the time,

Now back to Langford - found this article that goes a bit deeper into Langford the person and her background. Neat read as we don’t always get the intrapersonal perspective like this

Thanks for sharing that article. Now we can add Alabama to her list of recruiting areas.

We're going to win championships:

Gotta love it.

Good to see women's basketball getting a much needed fresh start. The only thing missing from Langford's resume is the "NCAA Tournament"

Impressive first showing by Ashley. From the looks of it Tulane has made another solid hire. I think she’ll have us in the NCAA’s fairly quickly.

Thanks for that heads-up. I'll watch it during a rainy day in the Northeast, with The Masters being delayed as well!
