That’s going to be something else. $350-$400 basketball/multipurpose facility.

LSU’s Tiger Athletic Foundation has now asked two unnamed developers to submit proposals for the arena, which is expected to cost between $350 million and $400 million. TAF invited six developers and design teams to campus last year and narrowed down the group, behind closed doors, to two front-runners.

This is not an LSU facility; it will be developer owned and lease for use to LSU Athletics!!! Similar if New Orleans did not have the Smoothie King Center and built one on campus for Tulane use but also promote concerts and other events.

Are you really that clueless ?
It’s a workaround so that critics can’t say LSU (the university) is spending $400 million for a gym but can’t fix a leaky roof on the library. It’s a way to prevent the public from seeing the details. Of course it’s their facility.
It’s no different than the GreenWave club putting up money to build something on campus for Tulane only difference is we don’t have $400 million in athletic supporters. So is the Hertz Center not a Tulane facility?
You must know the NBA teams that play the Pels practice there right?

Charles Landry, the attorney working with the Tiger Athletic Foundation on the project, emphasized in an interview that none of the renderings or designs is close to a final product. He said they were part of traffic studies for due diligence on whether the golf course site could work. The developers have not yet submitted their proposals to the foundation, and LSU has not drawn up a master plan yet for its preferred site.
