Unbelievable- Mel Kiper had him as his 2nd highest rated remaining player for the last 45 minutes before Green Bay finally picked him.

2024 NFL Draft: Packers select Tulane QB Michael Pratt in 7th round, No. 245 overall
Set school records for career passing yards and TDs
General Manager Brian Gutekunst said earlier this offseason he wanted to get back into drafting developmental quarterbacks regularly, and he was true to his word.

Sunny Florida and New Orleans to frigid Green Bay, wonder his thoughts can't be good. But he will do as he always does, working hard with a chip on his shoulder..

ESPN group just sang his praises, opined he will learn a lot in G.B. and then play somewhere else a la Purdy, and Kiper expressed exasperation that he lasted to round 7

Willie boy did him no favors playing conservatively to preserve his desire to leave uptown.

Ridiculous that he fell that far. He had a great week at the Senior Bowl. The emphasis is on that for the scouts moreso than the game.. Hope it works out for him there. Our piss poor OL play and Fritz being so conservative did him no favors.

Great spot for him. GB is a 1st class franchise and there is no pressure for him to start. Just learn and improve his game. GB has the recipe for QB's.

Exactly. And I had to wonder what might have been when I noticed that the next pick, right after Green Bay selected Pratt, was Tampa Bay.

Well, all these other teams had 6+ rounds to pick him and they didn’t. GB did so good for both. Brett Favre did pretty good up there being from the Deep South.

Unreal.
Spencer Rattler went #150 by the Saints.
Can’t believe they took him over Pratt.
Yes, especially since Pratt really outshone Rattler on his own turf on national TV awhile back.

I think Rattler viewed with a higher ceiling and Pratt more of a finished project. I'd have rathered Pratt because he's a tough gamer, but that's why I'm here I guess.

Pratt not only played better than Rattler on National TV, he beat the top Quarterback Caleb Williams in the Cotton Bowl, figure that one, Pratt is the gamer of both of them.

If memory serves, Pratt had both Rattler and Wiliams beat at OU, just 6 inches short of a first down and that game was Tulane's
