Remember, some people don’t believe in 2nd chances. Not even an interview. Wade should go elsewhere. Why would he want the Tulane basketball job? I’m the one that is dreaming.

Tulane could offer him good money and would be somewhat of a slap in the face to LSU being only an hour away. He would definitely take this program to the NCAA tournament pretty quickly, but he will be somewhere else eventually.

It's obvious Wade is a great coach and what he did back at LSU isn't anything unusual for college basketball coaches. He's turned around a dead basketball program and they're selling out games in their 4,200 arena against Southland teams. He told my nephew that he would only leave McNeese for the right situation meaning not Tulane. Fans on here acting like they're too good for Will Wade is funny as he'll get offers at power conference schools. Watch for Louisville as a possibility.
We agree as I posted above the big boys will be calling when this season is over and he will be coaching a big time program next season.
Small time facilities for a small time program.

McNeese St now has the longest winning streak in college basketball. They were near the bottom of the Southland prior to Wade showing up. They were 11-23 (6-12) and 11-22 (4-10) the previous two seasons before Will Wade arrived.
The difference between him and most others is that he got caught accidentally on tape.

And how long will it be before he gets caught again? The way he fought the accusations while at LSU, kept his job for over a season after those tapes came out instead of coming clean and resigning, tells me he's going to do whatever it takes to win. Including disregarding rules.

I think we have a much better chance of hiring Andy C than Wade. And, frankly, despite our wishes to upgrade the head coach, I don't see Hunter getting fired. Unless we really go into the tank, he's coming back. His seat probably isn't even warm.

Remember (NIL) Now it’s Legal.
He wouldn’t give Tulane the time of day but it’s fun dreaming. Hunter will be back. Unlike Dannen I don’t see Harris cleaning house on coaches and staff people in the Hertz Center. And that’s unfortunate.

For Wade, we are stupid not to try. Nothing to lose. And those who think he did anything wrong are just in denial that it was everyone and now rules changed because they were stupid.

For Hunter, I agree sadly that he is not yet on hot seat but in last game you can see his perception is getting there. He looked full of fear in last game so I think his self confidence is gone. He will either do bad enough this year to leave or Harris will give him a new set of minimum accomplishments and another year.

Memphis has now lost 4 straight after losing tonight at home to a Rice team who looked awful against us.

I watched Memphis play a lot in non-conference I wasn’t impressed at all with them and thought we’d beat them at home. The are similar to us in that they are solid on talent but weak on coaching.

Well Hunter claimed after our win over them that he didn't know they were ranked( both players on the dais with him rolled their eyes). Guess he knew what he was talking about for once.

Memphis almost lost today again. Came from way behind to beat Wichita State by a basket
At Memphis WSU was up by 11pts with less than 5 mins to play and blew it.

Memphis collapse that started with its road lost to Tulane continues. They will decline any NIT invite.
Ole Miss declined as well. Should allow LSU in the back door unfortunately.

Penny Hardaway says there is 'zero' chance Memphis basketball accepts NIT bid

and to think, teams at one time shunned the ncaa in order to play in the Big Apple....up intil the 1972 season, if I remember correctly, teams did not have to accept a ncaa invite, they would go to the Garden, back in those days all NIT gmaes were played in NYC, none were played on campus
Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !
