Jerry was probably the best known living Tulane alum in recent times. God Bless him and his family.

Never went but I know of people that not only went, but brought drinks in with them and made a party out of the event. Sounds like your kind of thing. And I'm sure you'd fit right in with his guests, though the Steve Wilco show is probably more your speed.
