Btw, really like that Conference court, great design by the league.
Wrong, Sports Illustrated has Memphis as a Number 9 seed in the tournament, if we beat them to sweep 3 games against them then play Houston tough, we should get a tournament invite!!!winwave wrote: ↑Mon Mar 06, 2023 6:33 pm NIT is a long shot:

Nobody is arguing that projections have Memphis as a 9 seed, definitely into the tournament. What we're saying is a victory over them won't get us in by playing Houston close in the championship. Our only trip to the dance includes two more victories, nothing less.Greeniegb wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 11:11 amWrong, Sports Illustrated has Memphis as a Number 9 seed in the tournament, if we beat them to sweep 3 games against them then play Houston tough, we should get a tournament invite!!!winwave wrote: ↑Mon Mar 06, 2023 6:33 pm NIT is a long shot:

Classic Hunter let down. Memphis plays good, aggressive defense and Hunter has no answer to settle things down. Players continue to take errant shots. That's what happens when you have no inside presence and rely too much on hot shooting from outside.

42-17 Memphis at the half. After hitting 4 of our first 6 shots, we went 2-25 over the last 15:30. Pathetic.

Pathetic coaching. Didn't have an answer for Hardaway's adjustments from the first 2 games. A lot of clapping by Hunter but didn't see any plays drawn up to answer Memphis' aggressive D.
All that hootin n hollerin had the players come out really overexcited. So many costly mistakes early on with jitters and terrible decision-making.

Forbes and Cook are good players. Cook is a ball hog who loves the dribble in place between his legs move then drive into 3 bigs move. None of them are good ballhandlers. After that there is no talent after how many years of Hunter?
Ruski, rebounding is not a concern for Ron. It is irrelevant as he has said many times. Clownish for a basketball coach to think that much less say that publicly.
Welp, I guess we've hit our ceiling at 18-20 wins.
Wichita just fired a coach who actually took them to the post season. Guess we'll slide back down to 5th or so in the AAC soon enough.
Memphis up by 34pts with 5mins left cleared it’s bench meanwhile our starters still in there. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a lot of our bench guys go to the portal after the season.
Stadiums get old, winning never does.
