Saints head coach Dennis Allen acknowledged that Anderson, at 5-foot-11 and 230 pounds, isn’t “the prototype size we’re looking for or the prototype length that we’re looking for” in linebackers.
“But, Allen added, “there have been guys like that, that have played in this league.”
Though Anderson is relatively undersized as NFL linebackers go, his ability to hit with exceptional force is one of his strengths.
Saints linebackers coach Michael Hodges called Anderson “a compact ball of dynamite.”

He saw very minimal snaps in the first pre-season game yesterday. Hoping he gets noticed in practice more and has more opportunities to make the final cut.

Signed a pro contract with Edmonton Elks of the Canadian FB league.
Didn't they used to be Edmonton Eskimos? Did they get cancelled for being offensive to Eskimos by honoring them?
Yep
Another example of the Wokes cancelling an indigenous group--helping them to be forgotten. They target teams but hit the tribal groups. Did anybody ask the Eskimoes?

I'm split on the name-changing and canceling issue. I can empathize with the desire to be politically correct, but trying to erase history is wrong.
"The Wokes" in this case must refer to sponsors. There was growing pressure and the team twice decided to stay with the name Eskimos and I guess the third time they said yes. According to some reports the locals wanted the team to be called the Edmonton Energy. Most fans didn't think the name change was necessary, but a few different indigenous groups were offended by the name according to Canadian news articles. I didn't know "Eskimo" was an offensive term. I guess that's 1 point for the wokes, I don't know.

When the Houston Texans were deciding on their name and uniforms, one of the options being considered was to name them the Texians with uniforms sporting the colors of red, green, yellow and white. If Bob McNair had gone in that direction, I suspect there would have been a Woke firestorm.
