Clowen used a lot of adjectives in his tweet. But he failed to use one that would be most associated with him. Tulane’s Cotton Bowl appearance and win over USC was a TITANIC accomplishment.

Thank God he's been absent from anything to do with Tulane Athletics for a little while. The man could ruin a one-car funeral procession.

I could watch this stuff every day for the rest of my life! Or until next year when we're in the CFP playoffs!

Nah, I'd still watch this every day.

Friend of Tulane Dan Patrick razzes USC's Mark Sanchez over Wave win for Cotton Bowl:

Although Dan is wrong, Tulane kept itself in that game, and a Willie Fritz team never quits!!!

Maybe it's me, but I didn't find that exchange between Patrick and Sanchez to be even slightly positive about Tulane. It sounded more like "Dude, your team lost to TULANE". Like Tulane is the last team anyone could lose to.

Agreed, but I think Patrick is just "tormenting" Sanchez with that stuff.

Not just you. It wasn't positive for us. Like W755 said it DP's way of getting a dig in on Sanchez but he also got a dig in on Tulane in doing so.

He has tormented and "needled" Brett Farve the same way, but Brett hasn't been on his show lately since Brett is now under both State & Federal investigation. 🎱

Just think, under different leadership in 1998 we could be where TCU is tonight? We last played TCU in 2004 on their way out of CUSA and beat them 35 to 31 at Fort Worth. TCU had quality leadership, we had Cowen.

My nice little message to Mr. Cowen:

"Wow, how hypocritical! We succeeded EVEN after your attempt to crush the program! My blood still boils when I think about your underhandedness and covert blunder! Please stay away from Tulane, both physically and social media wise!"

I get your point and mostly agree but not sure we wanted to be where TCU was tonight! Lol

Cowen did tweet out congratulations after the game. He also did so after the CCG, saying he's "thankful for those that helped break up the BCS". I didn't see either until Sunday when I was checking out some player tweets. I ripped him (Cowen) in a reply to that month old tweet, probably my 4th or 5th ever posting on twitter. Told him it may have made him feel good to take on the BCS, but probably cost Tulane $1 billion. Since it was an old post, he probably didn't notice my after-the-fact reply. It was still there 24 hours later.

Very well done! Anderson is the man. I love that escort block of 50 yards by Keys. That's one critical play that hasn't gotten its due. Really heads up!!!
