Read they hired some local guy for director of recruiting, some hotshot connected with all the high schools in Texas.

A good UNT like a good FAU would go a long way for the league.

Must be nice to have that kind of land available. The facilities themselves are ok, but they're spread over a much larger chunk of land than is available at Tulane. It looks like their football stadium is about the same capacity as ours, but ours has all of the seats much closer to the field. There really isn't a bad seat at Yulman for its lopsided warts. An indoor facility like that would be an improvement, but where does it go? We'd have to move baseball off campus and that's been said to be non-negotiable.

Thanks for the updated link. So it seats over 8,000 more. As to an IPF it can go on the Rosen Lot. The football ops. is slated to be where the mini field is.

the two links for the old stadium and Apogee were to be linked together, obviously that did not happen...thanks for the Apogee link, the stadium is located on the east side of I-35 northbound in sunny Denton

While I wasn't a fan of adding UNT & Rice originally, I'm trying to come around to it. Having 4 Texas schools is obviously a good thing in a lot of ways.

The cool thing about adding UNT is that they have 300k alumni in Dallas. So any decent season they have, should fill up those stands and bring quite a few fans to New Orleans.

Maybe I'm stuck in the 80's, but is their stadium named after a bong?

UNT updated plan for their Athletic Center. Impressive to see their ambition, seems the Athletic Center must be getting close to shovel ready:

https://lightthetower.com/wp-content/up ... active.pdf

I would love to see anyone from Tulane at least have the balls to say, "look this is what we want to do if you give us money". That's what UNT with this "Light the Tower" campaign: https://lightthetower.com/

Must be a big reason they got the AAC invite. When they were announced I was pretty skeptical. But 44k Texas students, getting even 25k of them for football, with another 15k non-students....that would be damn impressive.

Thanks for the link. 237% increase in their strength and conditioning area. Wow.
