Stadium is 3/4’s empty. On ESPN now just started. Glad we won out. I doubt I’ve made that trip.

As a Tulane fan who am I supposed to pull for?

Have the game on....see parts of the original Tulane stadium, both end ones and an extension of the sideline's seats were all part of Tulane Stadium. Former Tulane player and Independence Bowl Board Member, Tony Sardisco, gave us the tour when we played Washington in '87

I'm also watching the game. UH looks lousy. UH has good athletes, but they are very poorly coached. If we had played UH later in the season, we would have beaten them by 20+ points.

Looks like they mailed it in and don’t want to be there.

Holgorsen is a lousy couch, and I'm sorry but their QB is overrated. I've got UL-L and Wake in a parlay. UL-L needs to eliminate turnovers no doubt.

Interesting story about part of those stands. Some went to St Charles Catholic HS. They were sent from Uptown NOLA on a river barge upstream to St Charles Catholic HS in LaPlace. SCC’s original stadium was the last remaining remnant of the “upper deck” from the original Tulane Stadium it was replaced a few years ago thanks to a financial donation by the Benson family.
The section of the “upper deck” that was salvaged and barged up the Mississippi River was reassembled by parents and community members, as SCC’s home-side football stands. Volunteer welders from local fabrication shops completed the reassembly process.

A pox 🦠 on both their houses!!! :D. And, I would say the stadium is about 15% full.

You can be sure they don't want to be there and playing ULaLa. They are making a comeback--I think the players' personal pride has kicked in, because their coaching hasn't.

Tuesday night I had a windchill of -45* at my house, with the temp -15*. We were under zero for 36 hours. The big thaw starts tomorrow.

My wife’s nephew just moved to Houston and didn’t freeze prep. His pipes froze. No water.

ULL gave UH an early Christmas gift that they didn’t want but eventually accepted. 23-16 UH a winner.
Ends on another ULL turnover.

Final:
Houston 23
ULALA 16

Coogs shut out ULALA in the second half.
Houston decided to “show up” for the second half.

Houston got hit hard, by Houston-standards. Got down to 18* there.

I’m loathe to give credit to ULL or to any of their current or former staff (they are Louisiana’s version of UCF), but I don’t think Houston wins that game if Napier is the coach. With a minute and some change left, Houston having a first and 30 from deep in their own territory, there’s absolutely no way that ULL safeties should play close and let the UH receivers get behind them. That resulted in a 49 yard catch and the ball game.

Thune is a really good quarterback & came through on that final drive, his “last hurrah” as a Houston Cougar.
