A 6-6 USM team is playing a 5-7 Rice team. Two things come to mind. How in hell did we lose to USM at home? How in hell did Rice get into a bowl game with only 5 wins?

Rice got in on a waiver due to their academic standing since there weren't enough bowl eligible teams.

82 teams made Bowl games this year. Not enough 6-6 teams to fill it. So they go next to 5-7 teams with the highest APR.
Small time facilities for small time programs.
Let's enjoy our last season in D-1!!!
