They will likely go Sugar Bowl but Cotton not ruled out for them.
How is LSU going to end up in the Sugar? They're 9-3, behind 10-2 Alabama and 10-2 Tennessee, and LSU will lose to GA next week. So they'll be 9-4. No way LSU gets one of those spots.
No NY’s Bowl with 4 loses.

If they lose to Georgia, especially badly, it's unlikely they get a NY6 bid. The Sugar Bowl doesn't have to take them unless they actually win the SEC championship. Otherwise, they can pick either Bama or Tennessee.

If Georgia wins, they will probably pick the 2nd highest rated SEC team in Bama. Tennessee would most likely go to the Orange Bowl and then it looks like Penn St would be in the Cotton Bowl, assuming all the favorites win next week.

Assuming, Georgia, USC, Michigan, and TCU wins next week, it would most likely look like this.

Peach - Georgia vs USC

Fiesta - Michigan vs TCU

Sugar - Bama vs K-State

Orange - Clemson/UNC vs Tennessee

Rose - Washington/Utah/Oregon vs Ohio St

Cotton - Penn St vs Tulane/UCF.

They made the championship game and Bama didn't. But we'll see.

Because as much as we hate them LSU fans travel and follow their team.

I believe the Sugar takes the highest ranked SEC team not going to the playoffs. That would be Bama. After last night's ass beating by A&M, LSU will drop probably out of the top 10.

Citrus Bowl is not a New Years 6 but I think it’s
Tennessee vs ?
Looking back I think the Cotton will get Penn St. vs G5 champ.

Just read this:
This all goes by the College Football Playoff committee rankings for the New Year’s Six. The call is that Tulane beats UCF for the American Athletic Conference title. the other call is that Penn State, Alabama, and Tennessee will get the three big bowl slots.

Alabama vs Texas in the Sugar Bowl would be great if it didn’t already happen. The committee would want to try avoiding that. That would mean Penn State would be the likely Power Five program that has to deal with Tulane.

What traveling is involved, actually, if LSU were to play in the Sugar? Tennessee travels just as well as LSU, and they'll stay for several days. LSU fans would be like ULL fans. Hang out in the quarter the night before and straggle into the Dome for an 11am kickoff.

I just don't see LSU making the Cotton Bowl

Would be fun to win the Cotton Bowl and see Alabama lose in the Sugar to .... Kansas State? LOL
