I hope to hell we WEAR GREEN on Saturday. We're the GREEN WAVE, it's the biggest game Yulman has hosted. I know the folks in the Athletics Department that make these decisions read this forum. Pick the power color this week.

Inside Tulane’s Near-Miraculous Turnaround That Almost Never Happened

Probably the best article I've ever seen about Tulane from a nationally well-recognized publisher.

Only fault with article , never addressing directly the role of Cowen in trying to destroy athletics .
President Fitts , B of A , it's put up or forever hold your peace time . Make Tulane ATHLETICS relevant and top 30 again .

That is a great article, thanks for posting. It goes against some posters who think we still do athletics admissions at the bare minimum NCAA standards like most of the football factories. Clearly, we don't. There also might be a little bit of Dannen salesmanship in that article.

Roll Wave!
1-0 this week.

Poor D always consumed with trying to find me wrong about something. The writer says briefly that Tulane has strict admissions which is just another lazy reporter saying that just because it's Tulane. Later he mentions some numbers that are close to the minimums. Neither time does he cite where he got that from. It's like when a writer in an article about a baseball transfer said you need a 30 ACT to get in and people jumped on it like it was true. LOL. Facts are we have had JUCO transfers, transfers from Lamar, South Alabama , Sam Houston State and many other low level schools. Things changed dramatically over 10 years ago. Academics is not an issue for Tulane athletics. It's just a cop out by failed coaches who know fans will get off their ass once they drop that quote just like they did when Willie pulled it out of his ass last year. Now Willie is touting academics again.

It is a rather inspiring article, with a few data and fact misses. We didn't play in the Superdome for 50 years--it just felt like 50 years.

Epitome of small time. They should've had a real, full morning NOLA College Gameday. Clearly, the people in power understood the situation by making this ad but didn't have the balls or execution to do the real thing.

Want to sell tickets? Want to energize the fanbase? Want to demand the attention of the football and sporting world? Here was your chance.

Troy had a chance to be Danny White and make a statement that people would be talking about for years. Instead, he chose to be irrelevant.

Josh Pate coming to the game. Big name for diehard football fans. Even though he has quite a p5 bias.
