Yes, ECU killed that by demolishing UCF. But we control our destiny and could have GameDay on campus if we win out and host the AAC Championship Game. Dannen should be on that now, not in three or four weeks. Of course this would not be announced until after the 25th of November. GameDay wants to come to New Orleans, we need to give them a compelling reason to do so.

I agree. I was just responding to the post above mine about ESPN doing something different. It sure would be different for them to come here.

If it ever happened I think the crowd would look just fine. The students would be there in full force. if you look at the crowds they have at the shows on other campuses they aren't gigantic by any means. So the quad would look quite full and make a good show for Tulane.

He really didn't look good on last weekend's Gameday. I wasn't surprised when I read about his coming absence.tpstulane wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 3:53 pm Lee staying home

Tulane is the University of Louisiana
I think our crowd would be ok. Game Day has a way of adjusting the set up to make the crowd scene great no matter where they have gone anyway.
If we would have beaten USM, I think we could have gotten it down here for the UCF game. We just have to win out and see what happens on December 3rd.

As of now both UCF and Tulane are ranked. Why not here?
"That mantra is the only consistent thing that never needs to ever change for the rest of this program’s existence because that is all that matters & as long as that keeps occurring, everything will handle itself" -- Nick Anderson
If UCF and Tulane roll this weekend, looking at matchup between top15/top25 teams in New Orleans has to look good for ESPN.
Other potential matchups:
- Georgia at Miss St. This week at Georgia
- Louisville at Clemson Oct 1st were in Clemson
- Bama at Ole Miss Already at 2 Bama games: @Texas @Tenn, both ranked
- TCU at Texas Sept 10 were in Austin
- Washington at Oregon Oct 22 were in Eugene
- Kstate at Baylor, Baylor could sneak in top25 with win over OU
- Purdue at Illinois
- LSU at Arkansas, Arkansas could sneak in top25 with win over Liberty
- Maryland at Penn St, Maryland could sneak in top25 with win over Wisconsin
- North Carolina at Wake Forest, both ranked
Bottom line: there are only 3 current top-25 matchups in week 11. A lot of football to play until then and there could be some more. But I doubt they got to Bama game #3. And given Bama is 0-2 in College GameDays this year, Saban may pay ESPN to stay away. If it's between Tulane/UCF in NOLA and UNC/Wake in Winston....I'm guessing they come Uptown!
