Diversity gone wild.
Smart move for a loaded FCS program that is landing 3-4 start players. Neon Deion is doing a tremendous job at program that was struggling for a long time.

For some reason I’ve always like Deion even though he was a Falcon. He just seems to be a good guy who insists on enjoying life. And it may sound funny but sort of like Shaw and Barkley, he seems to not take himself as serious as it appears.

Here's one question. College Gameday usually does games that start at noon. Would they change the start time of our game again to fit TV?

That's not the case at all. So no our game will be at 2:30.

[bCollege football fans are not happ]y with that.
Most of the college football world was hoping ESPN's "College GameDay" would head to Tulane.
The Green Wave are set to host No. 25 UCF next weekend.

"Lame," one fan wrote.

"Tulane robbed," another fan added.

"Boooo," one fan wrote.

"Should have gone to Tulane," one fan wrote.

"If true, terrible decision @CollegeGameDay 😞 If not now, when?!?! For first time since 1949 @CityOfNOLA will have two teams in top 25 playing uptown. @GreenWaveFB should have been easy[/b]

They really blew it. Because just about every year they can go to UT Austin but it’s definitely rare to be able to say that about TU New Orleans. Oh well one less distraction for the team. 1-0

No it wasn't. You obviously are trolling with this remark, or simply not paying attention. It was between Tulane and UT after Illinios lost. It was even widely discussed on ESPN!

Tulane has no one to blame but Tulane for decisions like these. Yes, this team deserves the honor, but Tulane has told the world for almost 70 years, “We don’t care about athletics” driving off more and more interest lo all these years. Now we’re mad because somebody ignores us when our own fans have done so for years.
Screw all this publicity crap, it means nothing and would probably be a distraction. I want the conf championship ring for these coaches and players while it still means something before we “drop down” in class next year.
And don’t give me the recruiting angle, winning helps more than GameDay and to be honest it would be offset by the conf weakening anyway.
Just win the freaking games.

We are not dropping in class, win out we are in position for a Big 12 membership in the next two years. Past is history, we will keep the coaching staff intact by matching offers, showing we are serious. Recruiting will jump up in quality, and once we make it to the Big 12 money will be available for facilities improvements. Only a fool will not follow through and Troy is no fool. Same with Hunter he will get what he demands to keep winning. Then entry into the Big 12 will fund facility improvements. Now is the time!!! Indoor Practice facility or doming Yulman will be lst., followed by basketball facility if we don]t dome Yulman. Parking garage improvement possibly on Claiborne. All in the works pending Big 12 approval!!!

Troy Dannen needs to grow some balls and ask WWDWD (What Would Danny White Do?)

It's all hands on deck from a marketing perspective!

Call up the local news stations, get 4-6 sports reporters, get all the ex-players, Forte, King, Griffin, get some local celebs, hell try to call Lil Wayne as the celeb picker, make a big event Friday afternoon for students to make signs, call in some bands (is Trombone Shorty available?) , we need Riptide and Poseiden and Gumby, bring in Ron Hunter as a guests, we need the full pageantry of New Orleans and make our damn College Gameday.

Forget ESPN College GameDay, we want NOLA College Gameday.

Broadcast it on local tv and stream it on Youtube for free. The CFB community will eat this shit up! Just look at Twitter. Go toe to toe with ESPN and win some respect for the program and take us to the next level!

Earn that damn check Troy.

Yea, let’s spend all week focusing on the GameDay snub. That’s the ticket for success in winning Saturday.
And Greeniegb, I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or not but if not, I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for that Big 12 invite. You realize there are about 10 programs ahead of us in the pecking order including all of the PAC 12. This is what I’m talking about above when referring to Tulane doing this to Tulane. Just a little more commitment over the years and your dream could have been realized.

Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

This was all about ESPN caving to the almighty dollar (which I can understand as they are a business and this is their business model) and the interests of the P5. Can't throw a bone to a G5 school and their remarkable turnaround, especially now that the CFP rankings are in full swing. We just need to keep going 1-0 every game and the rest will take care of itself!
