Kansas St did a “show me” to the Show Me state team of Missouri last week.
I expect similar results this weekend. The two preseason games give a false sense of accomplishment.

Wave rolls as defense stuffs Kansas St. running attack forcing the pass results in two Wave interceptions one for a defensive score. Offense does just enough to win against a tough defense, pull out a 24-17 hard fought win!!! Roll Wave

Eh.

KSU's defense will force a turnover or two here to hold off an upset.

KSU 31-17. It will be competitive and fun to watch, but Tulane isn't sharp enough. I am 100% convinced we beat USM in the following week, however.

Since 1990, K-State holds a 94-18 (83.9%) record in regular-season non-conference games, including an 80-8 (90.9%) mark at home.
• The Wildcats are going for their 18th perfect regular season non-conference ledger over that span and their unblemished mark at home on for the 25th time.

Kansas State has been one of the best Big 12 teams since the inception of the conference in 1996. The Wildcats are third with 128 victories, trailing only Oklahoma and Texas.

Tulane 31
KState 28

Tulane with two decisive wins (albeit with weak opponents); local media showing mild but increasing coverage; local fans beginning to ask me "what's up with Tulane?"; chance to make a splash and bring a lot more fans to a winnable game 4 against USM; opportunity to win and receive a couple of top-25 votes; hard core fans hoping for that 'breakthrough win' against a superior P5 opponent... what could possibly go wrong?

I’ll analyze & interpret this data slightly differently. They had one good coach in Snyder and otherwise are in a small undesirable market with a history of losing not dissimilar from Tulane. We can win

I'll add everyone was a distant third to OU and UT. Currently they were picked 5th in the Big 12.

I agree with those that have thirty something to something in the teens. Both lines are at big disadvantage here.
K St well coached with good special teams also.

Totally "DISAGREE" If Marshall can beat Notre Dame and Georgia Southern can beat Nebraska, why in the hell are you fair weather fans so negative on our team. Pathetic!!! Not just the wins but the total domination even with walk-ons playing was telling of the way the new coaches are coaching this team up. Play calling wins games as much as skills. You guys forget the off-season training and strength program that the new strength coach put all players through. Speed training was a priority. That new off-season training along with the coaching has definitely yielded results. You guys are so shallow you post without penetrating reasons why. I have!!! 8+ wins and a huge bowl coming at the end of the year!!!

K-State rated about 28 by AP currently and TU made it to no. 26 awhile back and this 2022 TU team can bring the talent so, why not:

FYI Kansas State’s Chris Klieman is one of the leading candidates to replace Scott Frost at Nebraska.

Spread down to 14 points, keeps closing, the off-season strength and speed program with Strength Coach Hester is opening eyes nationally. Tulane has needed this for years to develop the recruits physically. Can't believe the negative fan base has not seen how much stronger this team is manhandling the oversized lines of Alcorn St. Look at the speed Wyatt displayed versus last year. Alcorn's huge line manhandled the 10th ranked FCS school. But we put up a brick wall they could not penetrate. Watch the wall against Kansas St.

New blood
With six different assistant coaches from a year ago, including four on offense, Tulane will have a fresh look.

The most important new face, though, might be strength and conditioning coordinator Kurt Hester, who left Louisiana Tech to replace longtime Fritz disciple Kyle Speer.

“(Hester) has done a phenomenal job,” Fritz said. “Our team has gotten faster and stronger and quicker.”

Pratt agreed.

“Our strength and conditioning program has really increased and really helped us out,” he said. “I don’t think we’ve had any soft tissue injuries or anything like that since spring all the way through summer, which is huge.”

Reality arrives. The tide goes out on our OL and they got no swimsuits on. Just pray that Pratt can survive the game.

The nation will take notice as the Wave manhandles the Big 12 opponent!!! Coaching changes especially Strength Coach Hester will show the nation how coaching can turn a team around. This may not be close as Pratt picks K St. secondary apart and Spears has his best game since Memphis. This win may catapult the Wave into the Top 25.

Biggest coaching turnaround since 1998 the key is strength coach Hester, As Willie says the Wave are bigger, faster and stronger that a year ago!!!
