Next four out of the NCAA Tourney (with LSU with us). The national attention is great, keeping us top of mind helps us with the committee, coaches, tv producers and voters when needed all season. Let’s prove them wrong and be firmly in. I believe the aac will be a 3 bid league this year

First four out? Based on what? This is asinine nonsense for a writer who has nothing else to write about.

Well he’s probably top 3 most respected college basketball journalists/Bracketologists. They look at past years success, returning talent, talent transferring in and advanced metrics. He also has ZERO reason to ever mention us, as we are not relevant in basketball. . . And yet he did. I also previously linked to other advanced metrics that have us making the tourney. Why don’t we enjoy the attention as at the end of the day, we haven’t had it since the 1990’s and it will actually help us with the committee and voters (and attract fans and donors).
Edit: this is the other metric respected by college bball nerds and has us at 43 in the country- https://barttorvik.com/

It's good publicity. Let's take advantage of it. Just win baby!!!

In the words of Dick Vitale "AWESOME BABY"! We now have bracketology 3 months before the first OOC games begin, and 5 months before conference play starts. Is it interesting? Yes. Is it flattering to be considered a bubble team? Yes. Is it absurdly ridiculous? WITHOUT A DOUBT.
I promise there will be P5 teams predicted to be in the tournament that finish under .500 and some not picked to finish in the top half of their conferences that win their conference's automatic bid. And who knows who's going to win the MAAC tournament, for example? With 32 automatic bids and 358 teams playing D1 basketball, Bracketology for March Madness in August is worthless. Some teams haven't even seen the guy that will turn out to be their leading scorer take a shot in their uniform. A couple of them aren't yet on their roster.

He's well respected and widely followed. So while meaningless at this point it is good publicity.

Lord knows we need all the national Attention we can get, given that dreadful ooc schedule.
All the lazy analysts and coaches followe these bracketologists.
If we win that ooc tourney with Kansas state and lsu, we’ll be getting top 25 votes.

Despite it being ridiculously early for these forecasts, I will be disappointed if we're not in the NCAA tournament. With what they showed once the calendar turned last season, all the returning experience and some great newcomers we should rip through the OOC schedule and contend for the AAC title. Big dance or bust.

This is the kind of stuff the Athletic department and school should show to the students to get them fired up and packing the gym

It's hard to imagine a sports editor telling one of his writers (in August) that he wants him to spend the time listing who will be in the NCAA tournament before team practice even started. Maybe the editor is just trying to justify hiring his brother-in-law.
