Relax Greeniegb. Until proven otherwise, with our OL, we’ll need a QB room with 4 or 5 QBs just to get through the season. It would help if Ibieta and Horton can stay healthy and compete when game time opportunities arise—they haven’t so far. Pratt had to play the back half of last year while hurt because Ibieta and Horton couldn’t answer the bell.

I'm not saying it shouldn't be open, I'm saying it's not. Pratt is the starter, you are the only one that says there's competition. If he struggles and the other guy looks better he'll get a shot. Then you'll have your opportunity of 5 minutes of "I told you so" pride.

Did you attend the Spring game or you just are mouthing off???> Horton 21 Pratt 0 Horton 2 TD passes and another scoring drive.HoustonWave wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 8:15 am Relax Greeniegb. Pratt 0 TD's 1 INT right to the DB
Horton clear best QB in the Spring game, Also beat Pratt's team in Conditioning competition. 2-0 Horton over Pratt in the Spring!!!
Last year is history, New Year, new coaches, new competition, wait to see naming of depth chart in the fall.

And yet, Pratt will still be the starter to open the season. Get over it.Greeniegb wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 3:19 amDid you attend the Spring game or you just are mouthing off???> Horton 21 Pratt 0 Horton 2 TD passes and another scoring drive.HoustonWave wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 8:15 am Relax Greeniegb. I did not attend the Spring Game, and am not mouthing off. I am trying to help you see reality—again. High school accolades, practice performances, and Spring Game surprises don’t add up to squat. The only performances that matter are when the live ammo is being used—ie real games. Thus far both Ibieta and Horton have been too frail to prove their worth. If they can’t stay healthy, all your rantings about Horton won’t matter. If they can stay healthy, they’ll likely get an opportunity since Pratt may well be running for his life again. Only an innovative offensive scheme that somehow masks our weak OL play can keep any one or two QBs on the field. As I said, we’ll likely need them all. In the meantime, Pratt will be the starter.Greeniegb wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 3:19 amDid you attend the Spring game or you just are mouthing off???> Horton 21 Pratt 0 Horton 2 TD passes and another scoring drive.HoustonWave wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 8:15 am Relax Greeniegb. Mrs Horton is the only source for the "Open Competition at QB" story. Fritz told reporters that the Spring game was meaningless and that the teams were unfairly divided. Even the HC, whohas a lot more knowledge of the talent of his players, put little or no stock in the outcome of a meaningless controlled scrimmage. But Kai Horton did some nice things in HS a couple of years ago, in case anyone forgot.

Twisting facts and what coach Fritz actually said. He also said Horton has the strongest arm on the team. Both Rivals and 247 complement Hortons having a nice touch on his passes making the ball easy to catch. It was obvious to those that attended the Spring game. Nice touch on the passes and strongest arm what you look for in a quarterback. Competition continues in the fall, stay tuned!!!DfromCT wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 8:45 am Mrs Horton is the only source for the "Open Competition at QB" story. Tulane Green Wave: Redshirt freshman continues to build off-season confidence at QB
Redshirt freshman quarterback Kai Horton was the star of the show at Tulane’s annual spring football game at Yulman Stadium on Saturday.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder from Carthage, Texas, tossed two touchdown passes and led the White squad to a 21-0 victory.

Horton looked like he never played a down before in his left when he stepped on the field against Cincy. He stared at one receiver, couldn't big up blitzes or make any adjustments on the line, showed no real touch. It was a pretty bad performance in a game that was actually winnable thanks to the defense and running game.
Pratt is 3rd best G5 QB - better than Tune and Mordecai:

Let's get this straight guys, we had a terrible season last year. Post season awards are based off on on field performance. Pre season are opinions and only opinions. Something is fishy about all of the Wave players nominated for Post Season Awards base off of last seasons dismal performance. If a person looked at the nominations they would think we are a top 10 Team really. In our history as a University we have never had this many nominations, not even the 1998 team. Quit getting your hopes up because none of the nominations are based on facts. Maybe the Greenwave PR team has put on a full court press, who knows. I don't believe the school up the river has as many nominations. So chill and see how the season progresses today's player on a pedestal will be the goat at the end of season.

Mrs. Horton predicts Pratt will be the Greatest of All Time by the end of the year? Wow, she's come to her senses and stopped promoting her third-string son.

Glad to see you so happy for Pratt and Tulane getting the recognition and publicity. And like D I'm really happy you finally see Pratt as the GOAT-GREATEST OF ALL TIME.Greeniegb wrote: ↑Thu Aug 25, 2022 4:54 pmLet's get this straight guys, we had a terrible season last year.
