Tulane's Yulman getting praised by Aresco as an example. USF currently plays at Raymond James Stadium which is much too large for their needs. Tampa Bay plays there 66K.

An on-campus stadium does engage the students more," he said. "I was at the (BYU-UCF) Thursday game … what an atmosphere, and the students were there in force. … Tulane, which couldn't draw at all at the (Superdome) now has a 30,000-seat on-campus stadium. I went there for their opener, and what a difference. … It just creates a certain atmosphere."

Wow. $350 million stadium. That will jump them ahead for sure if a spot in the ACC opens up.

we have had season tickets on the 25 yard line @ the south end of the stadium for several years...we only make about three games a year...

Absolutely plus they are putting in an indoor practice facility on top of the $350 mill

Public funds, nice when you are a public university.
America's Fastest-Rising University
U.S. News and World Report ranks USF as America’s fastest-rising university, inside the top 50
For the third consecutive year, the University of South Florida ranks as one of the nation’s top 50 public universities according to U.S. News and World Report 2022 Best Colleges rankings. Over the past 10 years, USF has risen 48 spots among public universities from No. 94 to No. 46, and 67 spots among all universities (public or private), from No. 170 to No. 103, which represents a greater climb than any other university in the country.

Perhaps but private funding here.
A new stadium could cost up to $400 million and would likely only happen with major donations from the school's wealthiest alumni.
What we're hearing: This is the first time Bulls alumni have been asked to give on this scale, and they've been hesitant so far, a source tells Ben.

What's happening: USF announced in early March that longtime philanthropists Frank and Carol Morsani pledged $5 million toward the stadium in hopes of sparking other donations.
The stadium project has also received its first substantial gift. USF Foundation CEO Jay Stroman announced that USF supporters Frank and Carol Morsani are donating $5 million to the project.
The Morsani's, whose family name is on dozens of buildings and projects throughout the Tampa Bay area, have given millions of dollars to USF.

That includes a $3 million gift towards the Frank Morsani Football Practice Complex that opened in 2011 and a $20 million gift for the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine that opened in downtown Tampa in 2020.

Unv of South Florida has received another large donation to jumpstart its fund for an on-campus stadium.

Jeff and Penny Vinik have pledged $5 million for the project.

The move toward a USF stadium on its Tampa campus has been gaining momentum.

The artist's rendition is always more stunning than the reality, but good for them.
