There will be a LOT more teams on the outside of P2 than on the inside.

Big 10 signs new TV deal with Fox, CBS and NBC--ESPN gets stiffed. Watch ESPN go into overtime trying to help the Big 12 gobble up the PAC12 (a dying Fox conference).

They may even get desperate and move AAC from ESPN+ to ESPN cable.

Apparently not enough. It would be interesting to know all the numbers for all the bidders. I sense that the Big 10 was predisposed to Fox, since the Big10 has gutted Fox's other conference. Also throwing a bone to CBS and NBC keeps them in the game, and more importantly keeps the Big 10 and Notre Dame mating dance on the table-- at least until ND makes a final decision.

Maybe this is good for us. ESPN has to put something on for it's subscribers and with the Big10 out, it leaves more money for everyone else.

Interesting that USC is trying to create a high road for themselves as far as their alums NIL collective. Why does USC care what the NCAA thinks?

With a $13MM decrease, where will that put each remaining PAC12 team in terms of media revenue? That could be the final straw in trying to keep some PAC12 teams from jumping to the Big12. ESPN may smell blood in the water on this.

I think they are getting $19 million a year now. I believe the article means the $13 million is the total loss not per school. So with 10 schools they'll be down to around $17.7 a year.

The article clearly states " an estimate loss of 13 million per year to EACH of the remaining schools

In that case, they’ll be splitting AAC type money—which will be a total wipe out for the PAC12. But of course few on the West Coast care much about college football. I actually don’t think USC or UCLA are worth what they’ll get from the Big 10–they got real lucky being plucked from the sinking PAC 12.

It does say that in the opening paragraph but if you read the entire article that doesn't add up. It says USC leaving will cost each $9.8 million. and that that is 30% of their media rights. So they would all now be getting $9 million a year instead of $19 million which would mean USC is costing them 50% or so. So poorly written article. More importantly it's an estimate by the UC system . Their media partners haven't told them they are taking such a cut. Most likely now that ESPN is looking for inventory it means they will get more. I know everyone is desperate to see everyone else fall to Tulane'a level but it isn't going to happen.

Yep. Hard to argue with that one. It’s always someone else’s is fault though.

Par for the course in the PAC 12. They have a lot of TVs in LA, and the West Coast, but they are rarely tuned into any football--pro or college. It's a football wasteland.

Hard to believe that crowd. I guess it’s all about the TV market potential.

Stage a soccer match between a Mexican team and a U.S. team, and you'll likely sell out any stadium in LA.
