Izzio spent one season with the Green Wave after joining the Tulane baseball program in July 2019. During the shortened season, he was responsible for handling the day-to-day operations for the outfielders as well as handling batting practice responsibilities.
I question the hire too but let's keep the fact straight. He was not fired by TJ. He was the volunteer assistant in the COVID season. He left to take an assistant coaching position.
Yes. I remember they were talking about a 3rd paid assistant. He came in to help run the Summer camp and that’s how they paid him. Hope it works out but I’m not exactly overwhelmed at this point.

Are you offering to donate that salary to the athletic department? To compare us to the school up river is foolish. Look at the fan support, plus the LSU Athletic Foundation. They alone can support an Athletic Program above us with no support from the school financially. Quit bassing the school for what is an impossible task. Fans must contribute and not wait for the school. Goes hand in hand. Many financial contributors wait to contribute if they think their will be a payback. Fan support brings contributors wanting to be out front and center, but they do not want to look like fools before empty events.
