And last week it was Schloss vs Pierce. There are fingerprints of Tulane athletics all over the landscape--just nothing that anybody can develop at Tulane. So, what's the common denominator?

The common denominator is not having $80K tuition per year without enough scholarships to field a team.

No, that’s not the common denominator—that’s just an excuse.

I am no Jewett fan, but this is an ABSOLUTE huge factor. RJ himself talked about the 3 P's at Tulane: Play, Pass and Pay. Do you really think there is no difference for a family paying half tuition at Tulane vs a public university? Please examine the numbers and think about paying that for 4 years.

My common denominator comment goes way beyond tuition problems for baseball, or even just baseball—-the common denominator is Gibson Hall and decades of failed leadership and incompetent administration. That’s why past athletic administrators, coaches, players and fans have to look elsewhere for success, in all the sports. It’s also why Tulane is increasingly on the outside looking in.

Both are right here.
