Can we use his salary to find a coordinator?
On Friday, Southern Methodist University will announce plans to build a $100 million, three-tiered end zone complex on the south side of Ford Stadium, The Dallas Morning News reports.1989alum wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:55 pmSo what that is what it takes to have good people running a top university. The endowment is now at $2 billion, annual gifts have been breaking records, applications are way up, acceptance rates way down..the university is firing on all cylinders right now except athletics.McWave wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:15 am Just follow up...
Mr. Dattagupta is one of the highest paid employees at TU. His 2018 compensation was $467,000
Other notables:
Fitts: $1.6 million
Crigler (chief investment officer - endowment): $1.8 million (the endowment is about $1.3 billion)
Ms. Wise (head of development): $522,000
Coach Fritz: $1.8 million
So when they ask for donations, keep in mind where it's going.....
This is all public info taken from the Tulane Administrators of the Tulane Educational Fund, IRS form 990...highest compensated employees 2018 fiscal year. I assume they all make more now.
The project was kick-started thanks to a $50 million donation from 1958 alumnus Garry Weber’s foundation. Weber’s gift, a part of the university’s $1.5 billion campaign “SMU Ignited: Boldly Shaping Tomorrow,” will mark the largest athletic department donation in school history.
The Garry Weber End Zone Complex will be SMU’s latest athletic investment. Since 2013, the school has committed over a quarter billion dollars to athletics projects, including the Armstrong Fieldhouse — an indoor performance center by Ford Stadium — and the Washburne Soccer and Track Stadium, which is set to open this spring.
So 1989 when will we hear TU development announce its $50 million donation from our well paid staff!? Never.

Get the Warren Lichtenstein/ Steel partners foundation or the glazers (amongst many others who could give that amount). But Athletic development is certainly struggling
I’ll do their job for them :
Warren Lichtenstein literally built a side company that focuses on his love of amateur sports and management. Get him on board Dannen, have him in a consulting role and manage the NIL fund that he will lead (the big time boosters who have never picked up your calls will follow Him).

These are excellent ideas, but we’ll beyond the ability of Dannen and the Gibson Hall elitist—who would never consider lowering themselves for such a plebeian effort.Bicoastalwave wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 8:41 pm Get the Warren Lichtenstein/ Steel partners foundation or the glazers (amongst many others who could give that amount).
