Well now that they have Brown with all the talent Penny buys they might be dangerous.

They’ll be on probation in 5 years. Brown is crooked.

Larry Brown will be 81 years old in a couple months. I don't know how much energy an 81 year old can bring to a coaching staff.

At least enough to extend his 'put on probation' streak .

Hardaway appears to be all show and no substance .

Hardaway has proven he can recruit, but he very obviously lacks game coaching skills. If Brown has the mental capacity to get involved enough it could be a dangerous combination. But the hire comes on the heels of Penny not getting the Orlando Magic job while the Memphis fans grumble about his falling short of delivering a team that makes deep runs in the Big Dance.

Yes, Brown is a cheater w/r/t recruiting and other rules. But he's forgotten more about the game of basketball than most coaches know. His brilliance is cited by most that know the game.

When Ole Miss was looking for a new coach to replace Andy Kennedy, the word got out that it was going to be Hardaway and how great it would be to put butts back in the seats and get top recruits. While the Rebels are not doing that well this season (their top 2 scorers are out), I’d say they dodged a bullet in not getting Penny and his 5-star players.

Sure looks like that.
