Whatever Arch does or doesn’t do will be news throughout this season. He is THE local high school sports story for 2022.tpstulane wrote: ↑Sun Aug 28, 2022 9:05 amNot sure why. Im sure UT fans are praying he makes it injury free this season.Wave755 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 28, 2022 10:33 amWhatever Arch does or doesn’t do will be news throughout this season. He survived the Holy Cross scrimmage. He will probably be bigger than anyone on an opposing team from here on out.

The Athletic has a rundown on Arch's entire "official" visit weekend. Not sure if it's the same article as 'nut posted above from ESPN, but it includes the golf and Four Seasons and a whole lot more. Put it this way: I want to go on a recruiting weekend at UT.

UT has announced a 55 million dollar reno/ upgrade to the Clock Tower for "The Arch's" big leap and flight...not sure if this will take place prior to, or after he walks across Lady Bird Lake

Arch throws a 43 yard TD pass for the win 23-20. Great game.

Done deal, Arch Manning to "early enroll" @ Texas. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb ... f7229f9435
Un-Manning like doing that. Best for his FB life though.Wave755 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 10:59 am Done deal, Arch Manning to "early enroll" @ Texas. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb ... f7229f9435
NIL deal now more likely. Cooper probably thinking back to his day not being able to play college FB with his medical situation. Would hate to see Arch get hurt playing basketball overall the right decision but it’s too bad things are like that today with the money involved. Peyton coming back to Tennessee for his SR year still a great decision for him and college FB. It worked out well in the end. He passed up millions staying.

The Manning family knows more about this than I ever will. But I feel sorry for the kids that forego the last half of their Senior year of HS to go to college early. Yeah, there are benefits both on and off the field. But that last half of Senior year is some of the best days of your life, the bond with your childhood friends will never be the same, and a lot of rituals of passing take place that are missed by going away prematurely.tpstulane wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 11:09 amUn-Manning like doing that. Exactly. My sisters son was a 3 sport letterman in HS and had FB offers on the contingency on leaving early. They decided not to leave early. Had his offers pulled. In the end he made the right call. He’s one of the top Shell Oil International traders for the spot crude market. Wasn’t NFL talent so FB was just a game.DfromCT wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 11:25 amThe Manning family knows more about this than I ever will. Not much different result with Payton and Eli. Neither won a State Championship. Arch will do fine going forward. Leaving school in December and enrolling at UT in the Spring will give him a jump-start for next season.Wave755 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 8:21 am Arch Manning’s high school career ends with Newman getting blow out to U-Lab of Baton Rouge 49 to 13. Quarterback D'Wayne' Winfield, or "Lunch" as he's affectionately known, officially signed with the Ragin' Cajuns Wednesday out of Lutcher, just two months removed from guiding his team to a state championship.
And he did so after piling up astronomical numbers, 4,657 total yards (2,187 passing yards and 2,477 rushing yards) and 70 total touchdowns (32 passing and 38 rushing). Against North DeSoto in the Class 4A state title game, Winfield accounted for 429 total yards and four touchdowns.
