Let's see what he does between now and December. But regardless, he's heading for Texas.

One reason why we may lose Smolic, and other young quarterbacks is those like you putting Pratt on a Pedestal and diminishing any quarterback competition. LSU has no issue recruiting 4 star quarterbacks because the coaching staff is stressing open competition and not putting any of the 4 star qb's on a pedestal!!! You probably will be the cause of either Ibieta or Horton, maybe Haggard seeking greener pastures. If you want to recruit good players you or the coaching staff can not predetermine starters without open competition in the spring and fall. We will see if fair competition happens!!!! The only quarterback to get good coaching was Pratt with Hall, now the coaching in the quarterback room is 100% better than last year.
4-star Baton Rouge quarterback decommits from Purdue, considered LSU lean
LOL. Pratt is the starter because he has the talent and has earned it. Most of the other 130 FBS teams also have established starters at QB. Kids transfer now with little motivation Problem is none of our back ups has shown anything to make anyone else want them. So they are not going anywhere.

And, in the "immoral words" of former LSU basketball coach Will Wade, I bet A & M has made Malachi one "big-ass offer" to be an Aggie! This will be fun to watch. Your "counter-bid" Trojans!

Yes indeed the stakes are going to be high. TA&M probably get him a 7 figure NIL deal.Wave755 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 05, 2022 9:48 am USC 5-star QB commit Malachi Nelson's Texas A&M interest 'is real' after visit. https://247sports.com/Article/College-f ... 190960437/

Keep making up bs, you are basing your insults of our backups off of the poorly coached offense last season, where Pratt was not impressive. Pratt has an advantage being coached one season by Hall. Both Ibieta and Horton had Long coaching them, enough said. This may make you happy, Courtney Mason running back that signed in tandem with Horton is no longer on the team. That duo played together since biddy ball, Mason's mom bragged about moving to New Orleans when her son signed with the Wave. Well based off of that you may get your wish. Horton may hit the transfer portal and the big guys that backed off when he signed with us will certainly come courting, Houston, Baylor, Colorado all showed interest, even Clemson looked at him.winwave wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 6:35 pm LOL. gbg, the BS that's being made up is 10000% by YOU. Pratt has shown he's got what it takes to be the starter. Horton has not. Please stop telling us the same crap one way or another regurgitated repeatedly, it's not only old, it's irrelevant. NOBODY has said there's a QB competition but you. NO RECRUIT is going to choose Tulane or not choose Tulane because of something posted about a QB competition (that exists solely in your mind) on this message board. You are not smarter than everyone here. You're probably not as dumb as you look continuing with the endless promotion of Kai Horton and now backhanded or direct derogatory comments about Pratt.Greeniegb wrote: ↑Fri Aug 05, 2022 10:20 amKeep making up bs, you are basing your insults of our backups off of the poorly coached offense last season, where Pratt was not impressive. And by the way, my emphasis in your post above is to point out you contradicting yourself. You've told us Kai started playing football his Junior year of HS. Perhaps he didn't go out for his HS team because he wasn't beating out the kid ahead of him, but he either played youth football or he didn't play biddy ball with the walk-on RB. He might very well enter the transfer portal. But he could as easily end up at an FCS or D2 or D3 school as he could at one of the ones you mention. Probably more likely now that he's shown what he has in college.

No insults just facts. Mason was a walk on not a scholarship player. His mom probably got tired of paying the tuition. Interest isn't offers. Pratt is the starter and like most FBS teams the norm is to have an established starter. We have a chance to have a breakthrough season and you want to put in the hands of a player who started once and looked very poor in doing so. You base that on a spring game performance where even the HC complained the teams were poorly mixed. What a joke you are.Greeniegb wrote: ↑Fri Aug 05, 2022 10:20 amKeep making up bs, you are basing your insults of our backups off of the poorly coached offense last season, where Pratt was not impressive. Continue insulting our backups that was highly rated by rivals and 247, don't talk to me about insults when you are talking as if Ibieta and Horton have shown nothing, Pratt said Horton will be great last year, Fritz said Horton has the strongest arm on the team. Now I am sure more insults about their abilities will come out your mouth. quote from you: Problem is none of our back ups has shown anything to make anyone else want them. According to you if Pratt goes down the season is lost: you may eat those words, said or not said but insinuated.
They haven't shown anything. HS ratings don't matter anymore. Whole different level here. Pratt came in as a true freshman and showed he was ready. Very rare at that position. The rest of us will sit back and enjoy watching his talent while you stay miserable spitting into the wind.

No doubt. It won’t even take their “collective”. An interesting read and very fair analysis from Longhorns Country on ranking Arch Manning for the 2023 recruiting class.

Had an opportunity to see him play last night in the scrimmage against Holy Cross. Kid is really good but he was running for his life all game. He can make all the throws and when he actually has time to read his progressions, the ball goes to the right guy.

If that happened, I'd have to suspect that Bill Curry has snuck onto the UT football staff. When at UK, Curry had 6'5" statue-like passing phenom Tim Couch running options plays until he was eventually laid out. Curry was easily one of the worse coaches in the history of college football.golfnut69 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 10:44 amthere are whispers, close to the 40 acres, they will be installing the wishbone when he arrivesHoustonWave wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 9:35 am![]()
