If only Peyton and Eli could have played in a better HS classification they could have made something of themselves.

Then don't hold that against Kai Horton, two Texas State Championship, tired of hearing Horton did not play at the highest classification in Texas. Try comparing Manning apples to apples. If Manning had a different name would he be rated so high, not comparing stats he wouldn't Horton career 83 Touchdown passes with only 8 interceptions.GreenLantern wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 2:39 pmIf only Peyton and Eli could have played in a better HS classification they could have made something of themselves.
Side by side take away names Manning QBX Horton QBY who would you recruit???
Arch Mannings career stats:
ATT: 515
Completions: 340
Yards: 4360
Touchdowns: 55
Interceptions: 13
Kai Horton Career stats:

Horton didn't win the starting job until his Junior year. Maybe as a younger, smaller and weaker Freshman and Sophmore he might not have had the stats Arch has had. Trying to compare their stats is a meaningless exercise. And yes, were Arch to come to Tulane, I'd expect him to start for 4 years, if he stayed that long. But it's all a pipe dream.

Another reason he was under recruited. Blossoming under radar steal for the Wave!!! District Newcomer of the Year in basketball as a freshman in 2017-18 season.DfromCT wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 7:28 pmHorton didn't win the starting job until his Junior year. Stupid comment? You've told us what a great basketball star Horton was 100 times. The stupidity of not recognizing that he was under recruited because he didn't play until his junior year lies on you. Arch Manning is not coming to Tulane. If he did, Horton would transfer or change position. Your crush on this man is downright creepy.

Arch plays basketball too. Didn't keep him from playing football. He's got a great arm and unlike his uncles he has Archie's running abilities. Whoever gets him is getting a true stud. As to Horton hope he gets to show his stuff three years from now when Pratt is gone.

No way Arch Manning is going to come play behind our OL. Not a chance.
Tulane is the University of Louisiana
And as of now, he doesn’t have a visit to Baton Rouge planned (instead, he’s visiting Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, Texas, Ole Miss, and possibly Tulane, which is located in his hometown of New Orleans).HoustonWave wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 12:31 pm No way Arch Manning is going to come play behind our OL. It’s a bit surprising that Manning didn’t mention LSU as a place he’ll visit this fall, though he acknowledged that he’s still speaking with the Tigers.
The poor offensive play this season, combined with the uncertainty surrounding Ed Orgeron’s future, has likely scared Manning away from LSU (at least for now).

I don’t care what Arch Manning does, or doesn’t do, with LSU. He won’t be playing for Tulane, that’s all that matters to me.gbgreenie wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 3:51 pmAnd as of now, he doesn’t have a visit to Baton Rouge planned (instead, he’s visiting Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, Texas, Ole Miss, and possibly Tulane, which is located in his hometown of New Orleans).HoustonWave wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 12:31 pm No way Arch Manning is going to come play behind our OL. I wonder if Archie really wants his grandson playing for this guy?

Napier is interested in academics as well. Here's a picture of all that's left of the remaining books in the ULaLa library after Napier took their set of World Book Encyclopedias with him to Florida. As it turned out, the set of books had to be discarded by the Florida librarians because of crayon colorings throughout the set.
Well just to let you know we are now an R1 cat rated….same as LSU and Tulane…..only 139 rated universities in the country…….always have admired the Tulane academic success as my mom was a Newcomb alumna…..ooops dat ain’t der no mo!
But Flasher Troll, USN&WR still ranks ULALA for 2022 nos. 299-391?

And to think, I'm the one always accused of "conflating" academics with athletics?
