Remember this series starts on Thursday.
I hope the packet of slap the wall stickers they gave to those of us pledging money for every win isn't a bad omen. There are only two stickers left. Yikes.

Will he or won't he:

Not looking good for him as x-rays are conclusive and listed as day to day. Obviously a big loss to the team if he can't go. also Ashame for him as it will keep him from qualifying for the NCAA batting title.

I think if there’s a opportunity to get him an AB in one of those 4 games I’d just let him do it if he’s ok with it. Probably lay down a bunt would be feasible. Should he get on pinch run for him.winwave wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 6:08 pm Will he or won't he:

Be proactive, being reactive is for losers..

I am really stoked for this series. Things are looking up for the baseball team both this year and for the long term. Although Jewett faces has some personnel issues to deal with (how long to leave our starters in, Bennett Lee, etc.), Cincy has even bigger questions. Their only hope to get to the big tourny is to win the small tourny and thus the games this week are not really important to them. How long do you think they will want to pitch their starters, such as they are, before giving them a pre tourny rest? Baseball is fun.
Sounds like a good idea. Hopefully he can do even more but there must still be a lot of swelling that left the result inconclusive. Just worried that when they do it again the other shoe will drop.tpstulane wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 6:40 pmI think if there’s a opportunity to get him an AB in one of those 4 games I’d just let him do it if he’s ok with it. Good point about the situation Cincy is in. It will be interesting to see what they do with their starters as they need to be looking ahead to next week since that is their only chance.ccap05 wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 8:44 pm I am really stoked for this series. As usual our defense kills us. Baumgardt fell asleep and didn't cover first for what would have been an out. If he does that simple thing the hitter never comes up to hit the slam and we get out of the inning only giving up one run.

Well we have our answer to how Cincy will approach the series as they already took out their starter.

I'm not anti-shift but between last weekend and so far today our shifts have turned a lot of routine outs into hits.

Par for the course with this guy. I can't see keeping him but this is Tulane.Profoundwizard wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 7:26 pmStill think things look good long term?ccap05 wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 8:44 pm I am really stoked for this series.
