My favorite unis, but I get it if the kids don't like them.
Welcome to gotula.net, where it's never too late to mention Tanner Lee, Andy Cannizaro, Lindsey Scott Jr., Rich Rodriguez, David Pierce, or, of course, Scott Cowen. You see, no horse here is so dead that it cannot be beaten just a little bit more.

That was a great watch, thanks tps!

That team had some great weapons for Hontas: Anderson, Griffin, Alexis, Holman and Reginelli out of the backfield. Have we had a better receiving corps since?

Griffin, Holman, Reginelli also on the 1980 team when Tulane outscored its opponents and I believe led all of its 1980 games at halftime. Can't find boxscores for all the games.

IIRC it was Griffin who suffered a career ending knee injury at practice when he stepped into an uncovered drain after going out of bounds on a play. He was a great player and definitely would have played in the NFL. It was a damn shame. I hope that all turned out well for him in life.

As to that receiving corps I can't think of one that was better. They were a ton of fun to watch.

In 1980 that Liberty Bowl video played 24/7 in the players lounge at Monk Simons.
