D1 Baseball put out their All-American teams. Once again Campbell wasn’t on any of the three.

They clearly saw him as I said all along. He feasted on bad teams and got handled any time he faced a good team.

There’s only 1 good team in our conference. So he would have been amazing just feasting on bad teams. The current guys on our roster didn’t do enough of that

Never was the two way stud as soon as he stepped on campus player that was claimed by some. He would have been battered by Mississippi State. As for conference he wouldn’t have helped us win a championship as he couldn’t handle it. Still would not have made Regionals.

I’ve never seen a post so out in space as this one. You can’t really believe that he would not have been a valuable asset to this club. Just bizarre.

What's bizarre is you claiming he was a walk on campus two way stud and he clearly wasn't. He would have feasted on weak teams here but would have been handled by MSU and ECU. So the outcome of the seasons wouldn't have changed. Silly to suggest otherwise.

winwave, your infatuation with Justin Campbell borders on that of a certain poster who has become Kai Horton's de facto mother. His support mirrors your disdain.

No disdain. It's others that had the infatuation with him and built him up as something he was not and that included you. I just pointed out the reality of his career.

Congratulations to Justin Campbell for making All-American!
https://pokesreport.com/s/2857/oklahoma ... -accolades
DALLAS – Oklahoma State’s Justin Campbell and Jake Thompson are 2022 NCBWA All-Americans, with Campbell earning first-team honors and Thompson being named to the third team.

Campbell’s selection puts him in elite company as he becomes the 27th first-team All-American in OSU program history. He is the sixth Cowboy to achieve that status in the Josh Holliday head coaching era.

With the addition of Campbell and Thompson, Cowboy Baseball now counts 124 All-America selections in its history.

Campbell made 17 appearances on the mound this season and was 9-2 with a 3.82 ERA while tossing a pair of complete games. The sophomore right-hander ranks among the nation’s leaders in strikeouts this season with 141 in 101 1/3 innings. That total is the fifth-highest season total in program history, and he became only the fourth Cowboy to record 100-plust strikeouts in season twice in a career.

Among his many accolades this season, Campbell was the NCBWA District 6 Co-Player of the Year and semifinalist for both the Golden Spikes Award and Dick Howser Trophy. He posted double digit strikeouts in six of his 16 starts, and he struck out at least eight in 11 games. The 2022 season saw him move into seventh place on OSU’s all-time strikeouts list with 265 career punchouts.

Makes Collegiate Baseball All-American as well!
https://pokesreport.com/s/2795/oklahoma ... rts-opener
TUCSON, Ariz. – Oklahoma State’s Justin Campbell is the 12th player in program history to be a multiple-time All-American.

Campbell was named to the 2022 Collegiate Baseball All-America Second Team, achieving that honor for the second consecutive year. He is OSU’s first two-time All-American since Corey Brown and Tyler Mach reached that status in 2006-07.

A right-hander from Simi Valley, Calif., Campbell is 9-2 with a 3.43 ERA in 15 starts this season; he has tossed two complete games and opponents are hitting just .212 against him. In 94 1/3 innings, he has tallied 133 strikeouts, a total that ranks fifth nationally and is the seventh most in a single season in OSU history.

Campbell has posted double-digit strikeout totals six times this season and has struck out at least eight in 11 of his 15 starts, including a career-high 14 punchouts against TCU.

A Golden Spikes Award semifinalist and an All-Big 12 First Team performer, Campbell’s 257 career strikeouts rank ninth on OSU’s all-time list. He has recorded 100 strikeouts each of the last two seasons, becoming just the fourth Cowboy hurler to reach that milestone twice.

Your God Kendall Rogers didn’t even have Ole Miss making the tournament. So much for his credibility. Not even in his first four out.

Our starting pitching would have been that much better with him in the lineup.

Wait. He wasn’t D1 Baseball All American. What’s wrong with those MLB scouts?
