For this weeks game?
I'm going 16,500 announced, 8,000 actual. Last week as 15K announced and my best guess was 4,500-5,500 actual. I think we agreed to save our game predictions for later in the week.
Attendance Predictions
Weather is supposed to be good. Coming off a win. I don't know off the top of my head if there's anything else of note going on in the city that Saturday. I can't remember whether or not Tulsa travels well.
I'm going with 17,000 announced, 6,500 actual.

I'm predicting there will me more butts in the seats for Friday's high school doubleheader at the Dome featuring #1 Acadiana vs #3 St. Paul's. Probably at least twice as many.

I predict announced 25k and actual 12.5k
A guy on the nola site claims to know somebody who works in the dome and has access to the actual count recorded by tickets scanned at the turnstiles. He said it was a whopping 3,231.

I agree on this one. SELA definitely only had a few hundred at most on their side.RWR wrote:No way was there 7,000 despite Tammy's estimate. SELA had between 100-200 tops.

Prediction: 22 K Announced (tickets distributed)
As for who shows up, I have no idea how many season ticket holders who will opt to stay home instead of going to the game.

I counted 23 SLU students, and no way was there more than 200 SLU fans. I think that 3200 number is very believable. My friend guessed 3,000 at kickoff and I guessed 3400, mid 2nd quarter he guessed 4,000 and I guessed 4,800.
Tulane pays less with less butts in the seats based on the Dome deal (that's why they count people coming in, the rent escalates as does the crowd), yet they also benefit with "announced attendance" or tickets distributed on the NCAA basis. I'd say 3-4K was about right. I believe today's crowd should be a few 1,000 bigger.

Since announced for SELA was 15K, I guess that means we "distributed" 4700 more tickets. I've got an idea. Why don't we save even more money by not printing tickets, and just open the doors for free to anyone who wants to attend. I'd bet there would be more people, and more excitement, and the Dome would probably make more off the increased concessions to make up for there technically being no one there (because there would be no tickets taken at the door).JDTulane wrote:Announced: Tulane: 19,752
Anyone with a LEGIT 'actual' ?

Don't forget we also need to provide free transportation to and from...............RobertM320 wrote:Since announced for SELA was 15K, I guess that means we "distributed" 4700 more tickets. Best part of that is I've actually read a posts on both boards from people upset that we didn't play better in front of such a good crowd. If you went to the game Saturday and thought we had a good crowd I'd suggest you get up out of your seat and walk to the visiting side of the Dome and take a look back at Tulane's side. It's not pretty.

3,781 for Tulsa according to "task" over on nola.com. Take it for what it is, but that seems about right.
