Kansas State opened the season on Saturday defeating UT Martin 41-6. https://fbschedules.com/2024-kansas-sta ... -schedule/
The ESPN Match Predictor gives the Wave a 44.9 %-win chance. https://www.espn.com/college-football/g ... -st-tulane
We have played KSU twice before winning both games - first meeting in 1988 @ the Dome 20 to 16, and second meeting in 2022 @ Manhattan 17 to 10. https://www.winsipedia.com/games/tulane/vs/kansas-state
Hopefully a packed house on Saturday. Win this one & we are top 25 heading to Norman against the Sooners.
Line Moves ⬇️ KSU 9 pts. > Tulane
It started at 6.5 and quickly shot up to 10. The bettors like KSU. They'll be losing a lot of money come Saturday.
Small time facilities for a small time program.
6-4-23:Now all of the mistakes Tulane has made finally catches up with them as they descend to CUSAAC.

+1, take the Wave & 10.5 pts. And, the O/U opened at 44.9 pts. and then immediately shot-up to 49.5 pts. Vegas is having trouble getting a handle on this game. Saturday we will know how good we truly are.
As Coach Sumrall said this is the real test for Mensah as the speed of the game will change, true test is against Power Conference teams!!!
It's a test for the whole team. Every phase had issues. As I posted before a team usually makes their biggest in season jump from week 1 to week 2. We need it to be for us to get this much needed win.

We need the running game to develop, or else teams will tee off on Mensah and it won't be pretty risking injury. Play action wins games if we have a running attack.
Under Sagarin’s ratings system KSU (no. 15) is a 8.16 pt. favorite over Tulane (no. 58). http://sagarin.com/sports/cfsend.htm
I thought KSU would be a little over a 7 pt. favorite, Sagarin has it about right.

Half of power conference teams aren't that good. The test is against GOOD teams. Conference doesn't matter.Greeniegb wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 9:37 amAs Coach Sumrall said this is the real test for Mensah as the speed of the game will change, true test is against Power Conference teams!!!
I don't yell. I don't scream. I don't argue. I just hit 'em over the head with a bottle.

Any possibility of hiring a few hookers for late night work at wherever KSU is staying?

From history, it's much better for us to be the underdog in a game this important. We have some talent and these guys are real cocky!
I see us winning.

Greg McElroy Puts Four Top-25 College Football Teams on Upset Alert. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/ ... 5c12&ei=14
"The first team that McElroy put on upset alert was the No. 16 Kansas State Wildcats. Kansas State travels to New Orleans to take on the Tulane Green Wave. The two teams last met in 2022, with Tulane pulling off the upset in Manhattan. The Green Wave has never lost to Kansas State, boasting an all-time 2-0 record against Kansas State.
Kansas State is favored by nine points on the road, per ESPN.
"Let's start with Tulane," McElroy said. "Tulane hosting Kansas State. This is Tulane's Super Bowl. I love the coaching staff that's been brought in at Tulane, I think they're a little bit under the radar right now."

This is Tulane's Super Bowl? I take it he hasn't looked at our schedule or paid much attention to us at all the past two seasons. If any game this season is to be our Super Bowl (AACCG and CFP notwithstanding), it would be the OU game next week.Wave755 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 3:45 pm Greg McElroy Puts Four Top-25 College Football Teams on Upset Alert. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/ ... 5c12&ei=14
