Easy win!!!
How can a 11-2 school be placed with a 6-6 school, disgraceful!!!
I suspect not much of Greenwave Nation will go see them play a .500 School
Read between the lines if the ACC was interested in us they would want to see a maximum travel of fans to the game!!!
I am thinking about traveling and going, but the lodging choices and stadium do not intrigue me at all. On top of that my s/o will be bored out of her mind as she's not a history/military fan.
As someone who has been to Annapolis a bunch, it is not about the USNA campus — the town itself has a lot of charm— great restaurants, cafes, shops, etc. The downtown area is considered a romantic weekend destination for people coming from DC. Most women really like it. They really do it up for the holidays too.

That's not how it works. The schools chose where they wanted to go, with certain guidelines. Obviously no one wanted to go and play Tulane. They all wanted to play other P5 schools.

Military Bowl lobbied hard to get Tech, and Tech wanted to be in it, majority of the Alum live in NoVa and they have rarely played in DMV. Thats how we ended up slotted with them.

So they will have lots of fans there.

Quasi home game for them. Against our team with probably half of our coaches gone. Pratt gone, If Horton goes into portal may not have a QB because Haggard gone and Ibieta still recovering from injury.
They beat a UVA team with some decent wins and close games 55-17 in their last game. IMHO, take VT, lay the points. Not going to be pretty at all.

They may well win It doesn't change the fact that they are not a good football team.

Funny how that Tulane “feeling” that’s been absent for quite sometime can quickly return. It makes you remember that Tulane doesn’t have the facilities required nor does it have the DESIRE to have the facilities ..Disappointing to say the least …

Yes. Tulane has never been proactive when it comes to athletics. Even off the success of last years Cotton Bowl win we can’t even get a temporary bubble done as promised. We are always playing catch-up unfortunately any coach that has success will have to overcome the Tulane obstacles. I’m sure Willie would have stayed if anything promised would have begun. He didn’t leave for money. He felt he reached the ceiling that Tulane allows for so it was time to move on.

What's funny about this is how many folks insisted that all the infrastructure improvements were in the works, everything is on schedule, the sky isn't falling, we have a master plan that's being executed and Tulane was now a "football school." Folks were even talking like the G5 bid to the 12 team playoff next year was an automatic for Tulane or the AAC. Nobody wanted to hear in January, March or during the summer that we were wasting the "Cotton Bowl Dividend". Nobody wanted to hear as the wins racked up this fall that Fritz was gone. Nobody wanted to believe that we could go back to being same old Tulane, maybe winning 6 or 7 games, playing teams nobody cares about. Instead just tell the guy waving the warning flag that he's too negative. There's two posters in particular that wanted to keep their heads buried in the sand. I wish I was wrong about all of this, but Camelot seems to be disappearing very quickly.

There were a lot of people that saw through the BS. Don't know where you come up with nobody but you saw things for what they were.

Let's get our focus back on the big stage we'll be on two days after Christmas. This game takes place in the afternoon and may be the only football on at that time. We don't want to get blown out, that will really cheapen everything the team has accomplished these past two seasons.

Does anyone know if the team has started practicing for the bowl game? If not, why not? If so, how healthy is Pratt and is he playing? Has anyone opted-out? Are the players in the portal expected to play? Is Platt practicing? How about Keys?

Let's beat the Hokies and finish ranked once again.

Bowl Wave!

1-0

Practice will start on the 17th per Guerry Smith. Not sure why we aren't using all 15 practices allotted. People use to go on about how important those extra practices were for the younger players. Pratt hasn't announced anything yet. Platt has committed to Houston IIRC so doubt he practices .Plus his injury takes longer than that to heal. Have toi think Keys is playing based on the efforts to raise money for his mom to go that were thwarted.

Any word on Pratt's right shoulder, which he appeared to hurt late in the SMU game?

I've seen that posted twice. Where did that (Ibieta starting the Bowl game) come from? It tells me Pratt is either injured or not playing and they aren't letting Horton play, which is a shame.

Horton could have easily put himself in the portal after the bowl game. Maybe he was afraid of stinking it up.

A few people posted with conviction that we weren't practicing until the 17th, which I thought was ludicrous. We should get some clarity on who is playing and who is not playing and the coaches' decisions on depth charts. C'mon Beat Reporters, this is TODAY'S STORY until the 27th. Sumrall is yesterday.

Guerry Smithh said practices would begin on the 17th. I questioned hiim about why would be starting so late and not using all 15 practices. Got a flip response.
