And to think, after the 1981 spring game when we got back to Monk Simons, there was a baloney sandwich and Coke in every locker...

So, is that a third ring that the team is getting? We saw the gorgeous AAC Championship rings, and then just recently the football-shaped Cotton Bowl Championship ring. Is this a third ring to combine it all? It is an awesome looking ring.

The football-shaped Cotton Bowl ring was the one anyone could purchase.

From the Cotton Bowl merchandise sight, I presume?

Fantastic video. That video alone should get us an invite to the PAC, Big 12 and ACC. I bet the PAC hasn't seen a crowd that excited in years.

Thanks Wave755 for that video. Hadn’t seen that view but have seen it about 50 times!😁. One of the great plays in that game. Can’t pick the best—too many to choose from. Patrick’s safety! The interception! Tyjet Tyjae! Batman’s Beauty!! Maybe the sad USC fan’s reaction?!

Does anyone else really enjoy the USC fight song in the wake of 01/02/23? It makes me smile even to hear the intro to it in the background of the video above!

I'll always be a USC fan - since the days of OJ, - but as a Tulane alum, I am so proud of the way our Tulane team and the fans came together for that momentous and memorable day in the history of the school. I was cheering for the Wave throughout but still maintain deep respect for the Trojans. I wish they could play each other often. This game is what college football is all about. All the best in the fall and let's keep fighting for better facilities and donations.

Were other SC fans furious that Riley called the same play twice in a row, after it was stuffed the first time, leading to the safety? Or did they blame Caleb Daniels for handing the ball off on the RPO?

I've become a fan of the SC fight song. The band plays it every first down, and I think some band members were played out by the fourth quarter. I'll smile every time I hear it for the rest of my life!

Enjoy one more time Wave fans, our perfectly executed Torch Stunt for a safety in the final minutes of the Cotton Bowl! :D

I have the entire game recorded on my DVR. I get nervous every time I watch it hoping we still win. It’s crazy. 🏈🏈🏈

+1, and for me particularly on the 4th & 6 when Pratt runs for the first down & then the 4th & 10 when he hits Bauman and we "stay alive." I relive the video for those plays with the same suspense just as if the game were live again before me @ AT&T stadium. :D

Six months later and I am still watching it. Because of the TU phenotype, I’m still hoping we don’t blow it. Too many years of being run by an ego driven blowhard proven loser. That’s no more. 2023=13-0🏈👍

+1. I still get almost as emotional at the end as I was at the game!

I love the USC fight song! It puts a smile on my face, remembering how we wore out their band playing it for every first down, meanwhile we won the game.

I have argued with many that the safety may be the most exciting play in Tulane history even eclipsing the winning TD.

What IF they do not make the TD after the safety? Null and void, I would think?
