Why in the hell are you hung on a 4 star quarterback, Pratt was not a 4 star quarterback, only recruited by IVY League schools!!! Brennan was a 4 star quarterback, where is he. Nussmeier is a 4 star quarterback sitting the bench.DfromCT wrote: ↑Sat Jan 21, 2023 10:02 am Who knows, maybe on the coattails of another season ranked and flirting with the NY6 bowl game once again, we land a 4-star QB that comes in 2024 and starts as a true Frosh and it's his job for 4 years. "Their starting quarterback (junior Michael Pratt) is coming back, so I'll likely red-shirt my freshman year," Mensah said.
I agree. Either Mensah or Haggard, or some QB not yet on the team.

As I posted earlier he was let go because of the academic mess he left them with that led to academic probation and a playoff ban.

Espn on Tulane in the portal:
Biggest departure: Wide receiver Dea Dea McDougle came to Tulane after spending his first two years at Maryland. McDougle caught 23 passes for 236 yards and one touchdown this season as he appeared in nine games for the Green Wave. He would have been competing with Jha'Quan Jackson and Lawrence Keys III for playing time, with Shae Wyatt and Duece Watts having graduated.
Biggest newcomer: Cameron Wire comes from LSU as a graduate transfer to boost the Green Wave's offensive line. The former four-star offensive tackle started 11 of his 28 career games for the Tigers (nine at left tackle). Tulane's running game averaged 204.8 yards, finishing third in the AAC, and will need to reload with Tyjae Spears off to the NFL.
Remaining holes: Tulane loses its top five tacklers from a 12-win team that won the AAC and the Cotton Bowl. The secondary got hit hard because of graduation, with its top three safeties now gone. Darius Swanson (190 career tackles, seven interceptions and 16 passes defended) transferred in from D-II Nebraska Kearney, and the former All-American should provide some immediate help there. -- Baumgartner
VanHaaren's grade: C+. This is almost a wholesale trade for Tulane, who lost an offensive lineman, but added an offensive lineman, lost a receiver and a corner and added a receiver and corner. Not bad, not great.

If a portal player doesn't have to make an enrollment decision by April 30, what's the point of the deadline other than it's just a deadline for getting into the portal. Also, I thought that the school they leave, for the portal, isn't obligated to taking them back if the player decides the grass isn't greener elsewhere.tpstulane wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 4:39 am FB Portal opened again yesterday (April 15th)

It will be interesting to watch the Dion Sanders experiment as a P5 HC. It's hard being a HC and takes a lot more than just a celebrity mouth. I can somewhat equate it to Mike Ditka. He could make the difference when he had outstanding staff and talent, but had no idea how to really build or run a team. Wonder if some of the Colorado players are already disenchanted with what they've seen and heard.

SHEDRO LOUIS — LIBERTY
Freshman wide receiver Shedro Louis (1) receives a kickoff as the New Mexico State University Aggies face off against the Liberty University Flames at Aggie Memorial Stadium in Las Cruces on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019.

Total return yardage: 657 yards
What he did: Punt returns were not Louis’ game in 2019, but his kick return ability was incredibly impressive. On 24 kick returns throughout the year, Louis averaged 27.6 yards per return, including a 97-yard return for a touchdown against Maine. The return helped the Flames notch a 59-44 win over the Black Bears.
