The weather was bad in Clearwater today. The Houston/WSU game is now scheduled for tomorrow morning since it couldn't be played today. So now there are two games ahead of ours tomorrow. Look for another late start. Plus there could be more rain issues tomorrow.

Yes. I saw the weather forecast for the week in Clearwater and it was obvious rain was going to be a problem. I had mentioned that in a group text to some guys going up for the tournament. They also had unexpected trouble with the lights in the stadium during ECU’s win late tonight. After a four hour rain delay, Cincy-ECU restarted in the 4th inning and shortly after the lights went out in the 5th. Not all the lights came on when play resumed. ECU eventually won 9-6 in an 8 hour and 11 minute marathon.

gee...too bad NOLA was held hostage by Benson after Katrina and the baseball configration of the Superdome was taken apart, so a few mores seats could be added, or he was off to San Antonio

UH up 2-0 in the 4th. Sunny day so far but play has stopped to evaluate UH’s pitcher for injury. He’s being removed and since it’s due to an injury the guy coming in gets unlimited warmup pitches until he is ready.
Just checked the weather forecast. Thunderstorms expected from 2pm-6pm. probably means our game will be in a weather delay at some point.

That was a winners bracket game so UCF is still in.

How strange that the first team to make it to the semis is the #8 seed.

The conference must be losing big money on these games. Nobody in the stands. Seems like they should at least look at playing it somewhere else next season with the additional teams.

2-1 Memphis top of the 4th
With two Texas schools joining (Rice and UTSA) and UCF leaving maybe they could move it to Texas. Florida seems like an outlier going forward. Personally I’d love to see it move to the MGM Park in Biloxi Mississippi where the Triple A Shuckers play.

Only two games. Need to continue. The league is awful this year. Just look at USF in the other side winning. We are one win away from being in the final. Hopefully ECU gets knocked out. I like our chances vs USF if we get to the title game.

Was really hoping for Cincy to take out ECU in that game yesterday. That long rain delay killed the momentum. But either ECU or UCF will be gone tomorrow, and the other will have to beat USF twice to get to Sunday. Three wins just to get to Sunday. Same with Houston and/or Memphis. They would have to win three games to get to Sunday. We just need one. And the pen will be fully rested.
