This is pretty damned impressive. Those that think his magic only worked at Jackson State because of the level of competition should take a look. He's going to win, and win big, wherever he coaches. My bold prediction: He'll either take the Buffs to the playoff or get hired away before he can do so. He is coming to Colorado.

He's a winner. S0 yes he will win there and win big. He gets that he's the leader and that he needs good assistants for the x's and o's.

He is going to do well. Playoff? That's hard to see. But who knows.

Lucky USF didn’t get him they’d probably get a B12 invite by now.

There is no doubt he's going to recruit extremely well. He's going to win the Pac-12 within a few years if he doesn't leave for greener pastures. Though Boulder is one of the most beautiful campuses in the country.

Composite, will be the first four-star prospect to sign with Colorado since the 2020 class and the 12th-highest-rated player to sign with CU in the modern recruiting era.

“I know a lot of guys are about to come here,” Edwards said. “I know a lot of guys that are about to flip their commitments. They are all big Power 5 guys with a lot of offers, guys that are four- and five-stars.

There have been lots of great recruiters that were not good head coaches. It's a tough job that requires organization and critical decision making... especially at the P5 level. Deion may be good, but there is no evidence yet that he is. Lots of great players made terrible head coaches.

No telling what he does at this level but what he has shown is that he is a leader and sets the tone and is smart enough to hire good assistants to handle the X's and O's. Colorado will have attention like never before. We'll see if they cash in.

After watching the Celebration Bowl, and seeing UNCC win, made me very happy... Sanders' should have been called for 5 personal fouls, but the Refs, who were intimidated by Sanders and wanted him to go out a "winner" kept the flags in their pants...one of JSU players was ejected, the same player who committed a uncalled personal foul near the goal line, that resulted in a FG and not a UNCC TD ...that shit ain't gonna play in the PAC12 and neither is his BS

Can't believe it hasn't been mentioned here yet. Following Sanders' footsteps, Ed Reed has joined Bethune-Cookman as HC. Wonder what impact this will have on NOLA recruiting.

If he can run a successful FCS team for 3 years, wouldn't mind seeing him at Tulane. He could go toe to toe with LSU and win some top recruits!

I was happy that NCCU won as well. The refs wanted Jackson State to win badly. That was a poorly called game.

Deion Sanders should be able to bring Colorado to winning column sooner than later. I think he opens up at TCU next year, but his schedule gets somewhat lighter after that.

The Pac-12 released its 2023 schedule yesterday, and just look at some of these games for Colorado next year:
Week 1: TCU
Week 4: Oregon
Week 5: USC
Week 9: UCLA
Week 13: Utah
Four of those games are on the road. Colorado went 1-11 last season, its lone win coming in overtime against Cal.
Coach Prime has his hands full.

Lil Wayne gets the tour. Funny when Prime shows him where the barber shops going to be he mentions how St Aug has their own barber shop also.

Interesting. Coach Prime has a personal contract with Under Armour but Colorado has a contract with NIKE.
https://theathletic.com/4281561/2023/03 ... ed_article
Jackson State was a Nike-sponsored school when Sanders arrived in late 2020, but Sanders, who has a personal deal and a close relationship with Under Armour, helped convince the school to switch to Under Armour. He never wore the swoosh with Jackson State.

Sanders has put Colorado on the map. Does anyone think the Big 12 would have considered CU if they still had their former coach? Or hired an Alabama assistant?

As most already know he’s cleaned house at CO. I wonder if Tulane will offer anyone from that Buffalo group.

Winner??? Before all is said and done, something illegal will be exposed, probably tampering before student athletes enter the portal. So very obvious. He is jerking student athletes around Longterm who would want to go play for him and get thrown under the bus. The way he cleaned house does not belong in college athletics. These athletes not only play athletics but have an academic career also. There are some very mad parents and athletes virtually kicked out the universities by a man that is power hungrey. This will not last, best recruiting is past athletes that spread the word. Now he has alot of negative messaging spreading!!!

Yes he is a winner--that we know from his record at Jackson St. Everything else here is more of your tarot card reading. He doesn't want to wait five years to improve this 1-11 program. Most of the legacy players could stay, but probably won't ever play--but could continue their current academic life at CU. And even if some had schollies pulled, they also can continue their academic life at CU, but will have to pay for it, like most students. Alternatively, they can take their football skills elsewhere and start anew. Sanders stresses success both on and off the field, and I suspect will gladly keep those legacy players that are getting the job done on and off the field.

Asking if Sanders will be successful could depend on your definition of "success". It's still to be determined whether he can coach at a high level. Being able to get good enough players to win the SWAC is quite a way from winning in P5. He could be good but he could be another Hardaway also. Getting good players will get you past 3-5 wins but you have to coach through the rest.
