Good news. We need help there.

D- he can still get in for the spring semester. That's why we might start seeing some more activity. I think the deadline is sometime in the latter part of next week.

I liked this part:
Scored a touchdown on his first career reception, bringing in a 66-yard pass against Sam Houston

Quite happy to see some movement on the WR position. Could maybe use one more, someone with proven experience.
Chances are, when you're a 4 star WR and you go to Texas A&M, you've probably got 3-4 five star players ahead of you in the rotation, so you don't play much your first year or two.

I would definitely make an attempt at getting him. Kid has all the tools and couldn't hurt recruiting a Louisiana kid.
Would he be happy sitting behind Pratt and maybe Horton, he already lost a year, probably wants to go where he can play.

Easy to see where the portal messes up teamwork. Just say you have Horton sitting waiting his turn all of a sudden, we bring in Howard, you have two good quarterbacks sitting expecting to step up, but the team brings in someone else it can't pass on. Not good. Horton has had two years to work with the receivers on the team then maybe Howard comes in, some of the receivers became good friends and worked well with Horton but a new face comes from nowhere!!! Even Ibieta, going through a second surgery might get pushed aside, :(
How would some of you feel if we brought in Howard from LSU and he beats Pratt out, just like at LSU when they brought in a transfer qb, it would completely mess up the quarterback room, definitely cause Horton to transfer. Plus what would it mean to the team and the receivers that worked so hard with Pratt!!! comments?

WR DeColdest Crawford transfers to LaTech. Supposedly he entered the portal and then realized it was a mistake, tried to go back to Nebraska and Nebraska said nahhhhh.

Thought he might've been a good project at Tulane but I'm happy with Yulkeith Brown, who had a similar trajectory.

Jesus we can't have that. By all means let's not have competition at QB.

Competition does not mean negating the hard work teammates put in to move up the ladder to opportunities then hiring someone from the outside. If you are an employee at work and wait for your turn, working hard, getting close relationships with coworkers, and prove you can handle a promotion, but your company says no we will hire someone from off the street not familiar with your work or any of your fellow employees. How would you feel and your coworkers seeing you busting butt how do they feel!!!

Happens all the time. I know this much, if Horton is not the starter in 24, it will be ugly on this board.

Fortunately, this board offers a way to mute an individual poster.

What spoon-fed fantasy do you live in gbg? That's life, and it happens every day, all the time.

Well so no respect for student athletes that stick it out at a school, Brennen got treated like a second-class citizen by LSU. That is why Howard left, do we want that mess to happen at Tulane??? LSU really looks bad for future quarterbacks when they look back at the Brennan mess now Nussmeirer is getting messed around!!! Remember Johnson also more quarterbacks are leaving LSU then sign with them!!!

Brennan was lied to by the HC. We do not have that problem and yes they are in a world of hurt if Daniels goes down. If we are that deep in the QB rotation as you say we are, I wonder why none have left for greener pastures. I'm curious who do you think will be the starting QB in 24 for the Wave?

Do you really not know his answer to that question? :?:

2024 Quarterback will come down to Horton and Ibieta if he recovers fully. They do need to get a third quarterback in, I think while Haggard may be good he has height limitations. Haggard would be a good backup at best. Always a chance Ibieta or Horton would transfer. My concern is one position you don't want to play musical chairs with is Quarterback!!! It has benefited Pratt well to be designated and stuck with to develop. You bring in someone like a Howard and the team chemistry will suffer. Look what happened at Oklahoma, they pushed a Quarterback for Heisman that is no longer on their roster, that is a waste of university capital and demoralizing from a team standpoint.

Who knows, maybe on the coattails of another season ranked and flirting with the NY6 bowl game once again, we land a 4-star QB that comes in 2024 and starts as a true Frosh and it's his job for 4 years. We don't know what tomorrow may bring, and really have no clue what will happen in 2024.

I agree. Either Mensah or Haggard, or some QB not yet on the team.

Or we keep winning and start to do SMU numbers in the Portal. It's all possible, if we keep winning
