Incredible game in all three phases. Hated to see that last TD by SMU, but all in all a great game.

The stats really do lie in this game. SMU ran 97 offensive plays to our 56, and we were 0-7 on 3rd down. TV guys said that 59 was the most points scored without converting a 3rd down in at least 25 years.

On to Cincinnati.

Tulane is 3-1 as a ranked team and will stay in the polls for five straight weeks.

This is huge, as the voters might trust Tulane more and more in the coming years (if we can ever get back into the top 25).

We really need to make this year count. We're losing a ton of seniors.

Great game but disappointed that Coach lets Pratt risk injury with potentially 3 more games, Cincinnati, conference championship and the bowl. He has learned nothing from last year. SMU went after Pratt at the end. Then when Kai Horton goes in run, run, anyone can see he felt once again like he was used. Why??? With three games left Kai could have used game situation to keep his passing and timing to receivers fresh. He came into Houston only throwing 1 pass all year. Suppose Pratt goes down against a tough Cincinnati defense a little passing this week from Horton would have been a tune up. Now if that happens, he will go in cold turkey like Houston and take a half to warm up.

Great game in all 3 phases. Coaching staff did an excellent job having the boys ready.

A little payback for the beating we took from the Pony Express, 51-7 in 1983.

Read their responses. We didn’t win—they just lost. Only one post gave credit to the Wave for being a better team. Post death penalty arrogance?!?!

Great effort by our young men and coaching staff last night. We will be playing in a reputable bowl game now, with the Cotton still a very real possibility! 1-0 next Friday!

I was at the game and also listening to Steve Barrios and Corey Gloor on the radio when the Deuce Watts controversial sideline catch was made. It certainly looked like Watts caught the ball inbounds but was ruled OB. Both Barrios and Gloor immediately remarked that the out-of-bounds ruling would be easily overturned upon review. It wasn't. On Deuce Watts' Twitter page, he commented that the ref on the sideline ruled a good catch but the official in the end zone (30 yards away) overruled him.

Since we won the game so convincingly, not much has been made of this call. Had we lost by less than a touchdown, this bad call would have made the difference. Just another horrible call that we have received in the past couple weeks...
