After a win against Kansas St. I expect a crowd of 20,000+ as Southern Miss will bring at least 5,000 fans, if their fans out number ours I will be totally pissed, as Coach Hall returns!!!

WE HAVEN'T ARRIVED! WE HAVEN'T ARRIVED! WE HAVEN'T ARRIVED! That's the message our staff needs to get across this week. Spears said late last season the reason things went to shit is the team got full of itself after the Oklahoma game. What we did yesterday is the beginning not the end. USM is coming in fired up. We need to show up and show we are the real deal. Let's ROLL!!!

I am confident our new and well seasoned staff will keep this team on an “even keel” for Saturday’s game and the season.

USM is definitely improving under Hall. Get ready to be pissed off, gbg, as we're not going to pack the stadium and there's a very good chance USM fans will outnumber Tulane fans. We haven't beaten anyone to draw fans back to the program after a few years of approaching mediocrity and last year's dumpster fire. KSU was a great win for those of us diehards that pay attention. But for 99.99% of sports fans it was a "so what" moment, if even noticed at all.

Yeah it was a bummer KSU wasn’t in the top 25, that always forces a lot more attention and espn front page

Hoping for a great crowd, a big win and not a very typical Tulane letdown.

They have our former OC as HC and our former QB commit who returned from injury this weekend. We had a good rivalry but we let it slip when we moved on and they hit even rougher times than we did. So no it won't be packed but it will be interesting to see how the crowd turns out. If it turns out to be a decent crowd I hope Tulane is ready for it staffing wise.

I hope for a good crowd...this game will tell us a great deal about the mental makeup of this Staff and Players...if Tulane goes out and plays like it did against K-State, many eyes will be opened...if not, many will say K-State was just lookin ahead to Norman, or whoever their boyfriend is

6pm KO. Outside of HC this will be our best chance to get 15K in there. USM will come. Hopefully the closet Tulane fans come out to see us go 4-0

Absolutely lazy, terrible journalism. Doesn't ANYONE proofread anymore?

"Tulane, three and oh for the first time since 1998 — is 13 point favorite over the green wave. the total on the game is 48 and a half."

Not to mention the "a" left out before "13 point favorite". Also, the lower case "t" on the last sentence. Pathetic.

“A corner turner”
Jeff Duncan article
https://www.nola.com/sports/article_8c5 ... a5444.html
“A corner turner” is the way Green Wave athletic director Troy Dannen framed it.

It was Tulane’s first win against a Power Five program since beating Rutgers 17-14 in 2010.

Good coverage but a couple of mistakes- the Wake game was when he was coaching here and Ray plays guard not tackle.

Yes. Flip flop Wake and Georgia or say the former not the latter. He probably knows it was Wake here I bet.

He’s referring to the portal with Ray.
He has benefited from a pair of strong additions to the offensive line out of the transfer portal:
He was a tackle at Colorado prior to playing guard here.

He is playing guard here so he should have put it that way.
