Spread opens K-State 19 pts. > Tulane, O/U 49 pts. https://www.vegasinsider.com/college-fo ... vs-tulane/
K-State, 2-0, “body of work” to date:
1) 9/3 - KSU 34, South Dakota 0;
2) 9/10 - KSU 40, Missouri 12.
The ESPN match predictor gives the Wave only a 24% win chance. https://www.espn.com/college-football/g ... /401404074
K-State had only 101 yards passing but 235 yards rushing against Mizzou, https://www.espn.com/college-football/m ... /401403876
We have only played K-State once before winning 20-14 @ the Dome on 9/17/1988, 34 years ago this coming Saturday. http://www.winsipedia.com/tulane/vs/kansas-state
Preseason over, play !!!!!! Saturday is the biggest game of the WF era @ Tulane. WF’s hometown is Shawnee Mission, Kansas. K-State plays Oklahoma on 9/24 so hopefully they have already penned us in as a “win.” . Take the Wave & now 17 pts., I think this will be a close game right down to the finish.
Roll Wave Roll!!!
Line Closing K-State 14 pts. > Tulane
We win straight up, the wave proved they can stop the run and the secondary is playing tough coverage. 24-17 Wave wins!!!Wave755 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 6:07 pm Spread opens K-State 19 pts. > Tulane, O/U 49 pts. https://www.vegasinsider.com/college-fo ... vs-tulane/

Line is dropping 16.5. Kansas St. won because of 4 interceptions. Fritz prides in winning the takeaway numbers, plus Pratt is too smart for K state. If they take chances, he will burn them.

Slow down the run and keep Pratt clean and upright and I’ll like our chances. Roll wave !!!
Lines been all over already. Opened at 15.5. Went to 18.5 . Then down to 17. Now at 16.5.

Line now @ 16.5 pts. across the board for big Vegas houses. I like the way this game falls between K-State's "big win" over Mizzou on Saturday and their next game after us against Boomer-Sooner on 9/24 @ Norman. Perfect for catching them both overconfident and looking past us to Oklahoma. And, a Wave win on Saturday will put the national spotlight on our program from coast to coast for the first time in years.

That 9/17/88 win over KState must have been one of Greg Davis’ rare wins.Wave755 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 6:07 pm Spread opens K-State 19 pts. > Tulane, O/U 49 pts. https://www.vegasinsider.com/college-fo ... vs-tulane/

Take a look, we were 5-6 for 1988 beating Chatanooga, K-State, Memphis State, Ole Miss & Miss. State - damn! So, Greg did win a few that year. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1988_Tula ... tball_teamHoustonWave wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 8:39 pmThat 9/17/88 win over KState must have been one of Greg Davis’ rare wins.Wave755 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 6:07 pm Spread opens K-State 19 pts. > Tulane, O/U 49 pts. https://www.vegasinsider.com/college-fo ... vs-tulane/

Line moves down to K-State 16.5 pts. > Wave, but 17 pts. for some houses, 15.5 pts. others. I would think WF has been waiting for a game like this since the day he set foot on Tulane's campus, and in Kansas to boot. I can't wait for Saturday.

Eh. If I'm KSU's coach, I look at the fact that Tulane literally could have hung 60 in both games before sitting starters.Wave755 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 7:58 pm Line now @ 16.5 pts. across the board for big Vegas houses. Our scorelines will have the same effect that they did for Ole Miss last year - who took us seriously.

49 o/u seems high, K state reminds me a bit of us facing those Wake Forest teams…..i believe those games turned out to be well under those totals.
Neither teams style may mind Punting, but lets see, seems like we have the green light on most 4th downs.

Keeping Pratt upright will be the biggest challenge. KState always seems to have a physical team, and we can only hope that our OL can hold them off. If we can do that, our chances for winning go up measurably.Bicoastalwave wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 6:41 pm Slow down the run and keep Pratt clean and upright and I’ll like our chances. Roll wave !!!

I keep seeing that first drive against Alcorn with a defender coming totally free and hitting Pratt to cause a fumble. How did that happen and why couldn't we run the ball with authority inside in the first half? We will have a lot of questions answered about the OL on Saturday.
I think we will learn everything there is to know about this team @ Manhattan, Kansas on Saturday.anEngineer wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 10:56 am I keep seeing that first drive against Alcorn with a defender coming totally free and hitting Pratt to cause a fumble. I use Draft Kings. At this moment, it's KSU - 14.5 and the U/O is 47. Parlay the two correctly and $100 gets you $365. Guess which way I went?
It's money already spent.
ROLL WAVE!

Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !
