Gayle was along time "Stats" guy and volunteer at many Tulane events, not many like him left that bleed green n blue ...he passed after a short illness...a Slatten award winner, and he may be in the Tulane HOF, if not then he deserves consideration.... will be missed...

Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !

Gayle was a dedicated man to his profession. Knew him since I was a kid since he was a fixture on the scorers table at the basketball games.
He’ll definitely be missed by all that knew him. God bless he and his family.

Great story! Thx for sharing!
One thing about Gayle is that he was just a quiet guy that excelled at his job. I didn’t realized he worked all those SuperBowl games as well. Big loss for the local Sports scene and especially Tulane.

I thought they would do a moment of silence for him . Maybe next game.

Nice ESPNU TV tribute to Gayle at the half tonight though.
