You forgot to underline your statement.

Arch only scored 2 points for Newman against "Mighty" De La Salle but after all, he won't be playing 🏀 for the tide or anyone else for that matter. 😁

If only Peyton and Eli could have played in a better HS classification they could have made something of themselves.
Then don't hold that against Kai Horton, two Texas State Championship, tired of hearing Horton did not play at the highest classification in Texas. Try comparing Manning apples to apples. If Manning had a different name would he be rated so high, not comparing stats he wouldn't Horton career 83 Touchdown passes with only 8 interceptions.

Side by side take away names Manning QBX Horton QBY who would you recruit???

Arch Mannings career stats:
ATT: 515
Completions: 340
Yards: 4360
Touchdowns: 55
Interceptions: 13

Kai Horton Career stats:
ATT: 670
Completions: 423
Yards: 6665
Touchdowns: 83
Interceptions: 8
You do realize those stats for Kai Horton are irrelevant now, right? He's got THESE actual COLLEGE stats to be judged on.

Horton, Kai
7-18-3 38.9%
Yds 79
TDs 0
QBR 42.42

As of right now, not impressed.

It's what this site is all about. Every thread eventually evolves into petty, personal arguments and attacks about things that have little or nothing to do with Tulane athletics.

It’s social media in general. I’m on the Nextdoor App that is supposed to be neighbors getting and giving good info about the area. It’s turned into a cesspool for political/ medical opinions/ rumors and has caused a few neighborhood feuds since there’s no anonymity.
Information Age I guess. No turning back.

I deleted all electronic connections with "NextDoor" but since I wanted to "stay connected" I now use the Smith Wesson Glock. informational website.

Of course Tanner Lee was a friend of the Mannings. That obviously is worth 20 or 30 pages of comments.

Damn, I had heard Lindsey declared for the NFL draft and was expected to go as the first pick of the first round to the Jacksonville Jaguars? 🤫

What if Arch Manning had a different last name?

Name matters, especially from a small school like Newman. If he didn't have the name he would be obscure. Perfect example is our own Kai Horton, his high school stats are every bit as good as Mannning's.
Athletic Background
-30-0 career record as a starting QB with two Texas 4A state championships (one D-I, one D-II). Two-sport athlete in football and basketball. District Newcomer of the Year in basketball as a freshman in 2017-18 season.
2020: Led Carthage to a 14-0 record and Texas 4A D-II state championship as a senior.
2019: As a junior, led Carthage to a 16-0 record and Texas 4A D-I state championship in first season as a starter.
-The sheer number of QB's in Texas in this class could also have hurt Horton's exposure to this point, though his 28-0 career record and 77-8 TD-to-INT ratio speak for themselves

Att: 670 Comp: 423 yds: 6665 TD: 83 Int: 8
