Tulane went way too deep into the bullpen and walked a batter with bases loaded - which is a HUGE no-no.

Great comeback effort. Aviles had struck out 4 times but gets the clean hit to win it!
Yes they helped us with the walks but we did the same. Plus Campbell comes in and throws the ball away to first then misses the bag on what should have been an out at first. Minder gets the DP for us and then Aviles steps up and wins it. Good start.

Is it just me or is the Tulane play by play guy hard to listen to? I haven’t liked him much on football, even less so on basketball but today on baseball was awful. There’s no passion, no “ homer” never give up , bleed green that we came to expect with the Graf. I know everyone is different and he may be a great guy, but I can’t stand listening him do play by play. Don’t mean to be mean spirited but he ruins the game for me

Congrats great win. Credit to coach Jew for not pinch hitting for Aviles who had struck out 4 times in his 4 AB’s. The Wave overcame adversity all game.

Agreed, after failing four times, last strike out on three pitches, the kid really came up big. We lost the strength of our offense with graduation and MLB draft, will be tough to match last years start, it could have been a special year, the kind we last had when Rick Jones was here
