Had the opportunity to attend last season game at West Point. Amare Jones and Corey Dauphine were great that day, hoping Pratt and Jones can do it this season.

Getting my money's worth out of that $5.99, that's for sure.

Between Navy & Army we've played more old school triple option teams than most schools. The most critical position group for stopping the flexbone are the three interior defensive lineman. Good two gap execution has been a skill lost to the zone blocking RPO/Air Raid offensive schemes over the last 22 years. More recently however, the "new" trend in defending against reactive field stretching offensive schemes has included gaining a numerical advantage by leveraging efficient 2 gap d-line play.
A 2 gap is very difficult to execute, but when you have three skilled d-lineman who can defeat 5 o-lineman the numerical advantage gained by a defense of mobile hybrid linebackers & cover zero db's is critical whether playing Army, UCF or Houston.
The days of "out zoning" the zone by one gapping (Aaron Donald, Tanzel Smart), seem to be waning & that's good news for a Tulane team with a lot of young talent on the d-line.

ESPN poll has Army at No. 25. Perfect extra motivation for Fritz and the boys.

Just WIN this next ONE! 5 season wins is one more from a 6-win season and another bowl invite somewhere.

Actually there isn't a 6 game minimum for bowl games, but certainly finishing with 6 wins or more will help us in a year where it may be tough to find a bowl due to covid cancellations.

If Army wins and improves to 7-1, they will definitely be in the AP poll next week. We need to take them down. It would be great for Fritz to somehow pull off an 8-4 season during the crazy COVID-19 Season after a 2-4 start. I am rooting for this guy, but he really needs to make some changes next year.

Some bowls will cancel I’m guessing. They can’t make money on 10%-30% capacity for attendance. TV might save them but I’m not sure.

Right. Some have already canceled and more likely will. If we want a Bowl game we need to win out to go 7-4,4-4. That would give us a 5 game winning streak. Still might not get us in based on canceled Bowl game but it looks like our best shot at it.

As win kind of points out, this year we're only playing an 11 game schedule. So 8-4 would require a bowl victory, assuming 7-4 gets us into one. Again, one game at a time. The most important game on our schedule from now until Saturday is Army.

I didn't kind of point it out. I spit it out very clearly. It goes with out saying the most important game is the next one. Obviously we can't get to 7-4 without winning it. The conversation is about the possibilities of making a Bowl. To do so we need to accomplish the above to give us a solid chance of doing that.

Finishing 7-4 with what should've been a 9-2 year in COVID and providing a starting QB for next year......I'll be thrilled!

Glad to hear marvin moody is practicing and will play against army. Need to be physical, hoping for a big game from the DL and from henry/nick anderson/moody.

Don't forget Dorian Williams who made a big jump this season and has played very well.

Be a Hero Today.... Adopt a Shelter Pet... The Beatles once sang "Can't Buy Me Love"... I disagree, unconditional Love can be bought, for the nominal adoption fee at your local Pet Shelter !
