Redeem yourself Mr Dannen , show some gumption and make this a home game at Yulman . It is for recruiting and for bragging rights with consequences for the next four or five or six years .

Take a risk , earn the reward .

ps We will settle for Appalachian State in Yulman .

President Fitts , B of A , it's put up or forever hold your peace time . Make Tulane ATHLETICS relevant and top 30 again .

This is the most ridiculous post I have read recently on this forum. USL had a nice win over Iowa State but they will soon return to typical USL style mediocrity when Billy Napier leaves them at the end of the season for a Power Five job. Furthermore we just recently beat up USL in the Cure Bowl the season before last and in my opinion we should only play USL occasionally and never on a regular basis. I would rather play nationally recognized schools instead of a tier three directional school like USL. According to the most recent polls we have three top 25 teams on our schedule in UCF, Memphis, and Army. If we upset some of these schools and win the games we are supposed to win Tulane will be ranked in the top 25. There is no need to play USL. Also Tulane is not giving up their one bye week to play twelve games in a row. No team wants to give up that bye week as they need one week to rest and recover from any injuries which hopefully will be minimal. Lastly Dannen has done a very good job navigating the football program and athletic department through COVID-19 so there is no reason that he has to “redeem” himself as you claim.

And, ULALA wants no part of Tulane @ Yulman. And, hard to believe they could score touchdowns on both a kickoff and punt return against the Wave?

If you are Napier you just want to finally beat Appy State and then head for a P5 job, preferably SEC. Playing Tulane would be nothing but an unnecessary risk for Napier.

I have absolutely no interest in having Tulane schedule Louisiana State University of Lafayette. If Laffy loses one game (which is statistically very likely to happen) they will once again, and for the remainder of the season, be unranked. This means we give up what will probably be a badly needed bye week to schedule another SBC team. We should play teams like UL-Lafayette, UL-M, and Southern once in awhile on a rotating basis on 2 at Tulane 1 away schedules. This team needs to focus on 1) staying healthy (focusing both on COVID and football injuryies) and 2) winning as many games as possible with the current schedule. A bye week is needed for both of those goals.

If ULaLa wins out they'll be top20/top15. If we win out we'll be top 10. Schedule them for December 7th-ish if we're both undefeated. Could help get us into the playoffs.

More important to be in the Conference Championship Game than playing ULL on 12-7.

Exactly.

The schedule is settled. Dannen and Co. tried to schedule the in-state schools and everyone wanted a home game or a check big enough to cover expenses. We have no open dates, just a bye week that would not be in our interests to fill.
