Anyone who thinks that Hunter ran off Caleb Daniels is blinded with Tulane optimism. Caleb Daniels left because he had an offer from Villanova. Simple as that.

Hunter tried to keep Daniels, as Clem said Daniels had a Nova Offer And was looking to leave after a Conference winless season. That’s essentially LSU offering one of our guys In the football transfer portal.

Agreed. If a recent National Champion makes an offer to you after a winless conference season, who wouldn't jump at that?

Saying Hunter did not want to
keep Daniels is absolutely absurd.

Hunter's "it's a good learning experience" bs has worn thin and shredded . It's time he started showing results against the top 150 + teams ....
President Fitts , B of A , it's put up or forever hold your peace time . Make Tulane ATHLETICS relevant and top 30 again .

Caleb entered the transfer portal to see what was out there. Probably did him in with Hunter. I remember Hunter saying he did not want any player that didn’t want to be here.

Wow!! That one definitely hurt. Once again we get dominated in the paint, on both ends of the court. Our AAC opponents have figured out we have no offense, and not much defense, inside. I can remember only one offensive rebound, when Days tipped one in early in the game. Our offense has suddenly become Dunleavyish-- a lot of perimeter passing and then jacking a shot as the shot clock runs out. Early in the season, we were able to attack the lane with short jumpers and lay ups--we've lost the ability to do that in the second half of the season. Hopefully Hunter will be able to recruit some big men for the middle.
