UCONN got whipped by a bad USF team 48-22 at home. Glad our coaches and players weren't happy with our mistakes. Avoid the trap.

Yeah definitely need to clean on certain things like the turnovers, penalties, missed tackles, and pass coverage. And still won easily.
But UCONN is just bad. Need to execute early and often. UCONN is ranked 127th out of 130th on college football Reference’s rating. No excuse not to have the backups come in after halftime.

IF we play well, we should be up by at least 35 or more by halftime. The Huskies stink. Our second team should do well against their starters.

Yeah hopefully the starters can rest some since there’s a huge game the following week. Just can’t look ahead. Score early and often.

Should be an easy win. Hopefully we don’t play down to the competition and let them hang around at all.

This should be a statement game for WF. Hang 70+ on them.

Especially since Cowen is on the UConn board of trustees. Just keep thinking it's Cowen were playing.NOLABigSteve wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 6:44 pm This should be a statement game for WF. Hang 70+ on them.

Typical of any athletic team that Cowen is anywhere near.greenie78 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 9:56 am Yeah definitely need to clean on certain things like the turnovers, penalties, missed tackles, and pass coverage. And still won easily.

What a phony Cow is . Claiming to be a through and through Wave fan after doing everything in his power to kill Tulane FB with bad hires , running off a highly qualified AD and replacing her with an incompetent whose only concern was his tennis , and of course his Review .
With Cow on UConn's Board it is no surprise they are abandoning ship .
Campus Connection, you need to disassociate yourself from him .

They want out of the AAC. Let's give them a big send off.and remind them that they must pay a $17 million exit fee. How in the world do they sustain a football program as an independent? Just look at the powerhouse their neighbor, UMass, has become.

I hope you've paid the little it cost to get the Athletic.

Boy does coach Fritz seem relaxed and happy. Gave off the vibe that he wants to be here a long time when asked. Didn't speak much about UConn at all, but then again the questions were about the Army game. I'm glad he's our coach. Those that love to bash Dannen hires cannot bash this one.

Crazy thing about this team, they’re really not playing lights out football. Bad fumbles, boat loads of penalties, sometimes less than stellar tackling. And we’re very , very good. No telling what could happen when we play a clean game:

Well said Pete. It was probably Cowens idea for UConn to bolt from our conference. Now they have no football affiliation and the Big East ain't that big of a deal in basketball these days. Cowen, what an absolute schmuck!

Exactly. And I hope we can do so against our tough opponents down the stretch of the regular season, catapulting us into the AAC Championship game. I think our best football is still ahead of us this season.galvezwave wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 5:26 pm Crazy thing about this team, they’re really not playing lights out football. Absolutely, we saw how quickly Army was able to put points on the board late in the fourth quarter because of our mistakes. Had they kicked the extra point, they would have had the ball with about a minute to go and a chance to tie the game. We still have a poor passing offense, McMillan lacks accuracy, but he is winner and a play maker, who gets the done, cool under pressure. The only team that can beat Tulane the rest of the season is Tulane. We eliminate mistakes, no one will beat us.DfromCT wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 6:37 pmExactly. We have yet to play a complete game. Far from it actually. Even though we're kicking ass, I'd grade us a C+. Not being negative at all, just saying there is lots of room for improvement. And if we put it all together, we've got something REALLY special going on.

Id put it at a B-, but as you said we’re not being negative just that we’re that good and despite not playing a complete game have still kicked ass.
As far as cowen, in a perfect world I’d love for our president or AD to throw shade at him about what he left behind . . . But it ain’t going to happen. But what I really can’t take is him taking credit for any success or affiliating himself with the athletic program in any way.

McMillan is the best QB we have seen around here in a long time. We don’t need a great QB in this offense, we need good athlete with wheels, a decent arm, and a QB who doesn’t turn the ball over. McMillan has an impressive record here for a reason.JerseyWave wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2019 10:13 pmAbsolutely, we saw how quickly Army was able to put points on the board late in the fourth quarter because of our mistakes.
